Originally released in 2007, the Nike SB Dunk Mid “Griptape” is making a triumphant return.

Like the originals, these SBs sport a predominately black colorway with a graphite Swoosh and laces.  Additionally, these Dunk Mids feature a black suede toebox with a griptape-like texture.  However, the 2011 version of the Dunk Mid “Griptape” now sports the light weight cored outsole and improved fit that is the staple of all newer SBs.

The Nike SB Dunk Mid Pro “Griptape” is now available from Premier and other SB accounts.

Available this month, the Nike SB Dunk mid pro dressed in a charoal and tar colorway. The first strapless SB Dunk mid to drop in 2011, and features quite a simple color-scheme, with a charcoal grey suede taking up shoes entire upper besides the toe box and swoosh. A smooth black leather is used on the toe box, while black suede is used on the swoosh. The shoe sits on top of a black midsole with a gum bottom. The Green Bay Packers were the first ones to have a Nike Dunk mid in their colorway, now its the Oakland Raiders turn. This up coming year the Nike SB Dunk mid will release in a Raiders colorway, featuring grey leather wraped with black suede. The swoosh is done in a metallic grey, with white making an appearance on the midsole. No exact release date has been given, but stay with Sneakerfiles for the latest. Seems like no one could wait till 2011 comes, with all those Air Jordan retros that are set to release, but Jordan brand isnt the only brand planning on big releases. Nike SB January 2011 line-up has surfaced, and its starting to look like Nike SB is starting the new year in a good note by dropping the most talked about ‘Safari’ SB Dunk low. The Nike Zoom Stefan Janoski, Zoom Omar Salazar, Blazer SB CS, and the Zoom Paul Rodriguez 2.5 will also be on next months line-up. Now Nike SB monthly line-up can’te complete with out releasing a pair of Dunk mids and Zoom Bruins, also the Nike Vulc Rod will makes its debut in January. Most sneaker brands tend to make samples of shoes that are eventually scrapped, most commonly Nike SB. Now if your a Nike SB fan u should know that Nike SB has quite a few unreleased samples such as the ‘Freddy Krueger’ and this pair. This sample is a strapless mid model, with a multi-colored leather and suede upper. Navy blue suede around the toebox and rear panel, with red suede on the eyestay, red leather on the toebox and a red canvas around the ankle collar. A varsity maize appears on the side panel and on the tongue aswell, along with a nice brown leather swoosh and sock liner. The Nike SB line has added a lot of heavy artillery recently by way of the “Skunk” Nike Dunk high, “Thailand” Nike Dunk high, and Perforated Stefan Janoski. Now you can add two more sneakers to that. After previewing the simple yet stylish Nike SB Dunk Hi Pro in a black/grand purple colorway, Nike SB has leaked another preview of another Dunk: the Nike SB Dunk Mid Pro in a black/white colorway. It’s a relief to see that Nike is giving us more and more simple colorways, because we all know simple is better. The black leather upper shoe features a black suede toe and white leather swoosh. A dark gumsole gives this shoe a real classic look, along with the blending black midsole. White is found on the laces, tongue tag, and stitching on the strap. Get ready for this Dunk as it releases January 2010.
