Following the great NC State women’s basketball coach Kay Yow’s untimely death as a result of an extended battle with breast cancer, Nike immediately went to work commemorating her and her struggle, which is that of many women today. Just as quick as Nike was to go to work, we here at SneakerFiles were just as quick to give you a sneak(er) peek. Well, we’re back; and we have more news regarding this release. Starting tomorrow, September 17th, 2009, House of Hoops nationwide will begin selling these Lebron Soldier III’s that sport the WBCA Cancer Fund’s logo and the word “dream” inside the tongue. The Nike Air Max LeBron VII (7) Low will be available during the Summer of 2010. This wear test sample of the shoe hosts a tumbled white leather upper with crimson red accents and a varsity black Swoosh. The outsole features a traction pattern with extremely deep herringbone grooves provides grip. A partially exposed Air Unit resides in the heel, but it appears as if this sample did not include a full-length Air Unit. This Nike Air Max LeBron VII (7) Low is a sample and will not be hitting retail.

Several months ago LeBron James hosted the King City Classic in Akron, Ohio. The all-star game, featuring many of the world’s brightest young basketball talents, received its own Nike Basketball PE (Player Exclusive). More particularly, this all-patent Nike Zoom Soldier III (3) in black/varsity red/old gold was given to the game’s participants. The shoe features Zoom Air underneath and two midfoot straps for a ride that’s comfortable and supportive enough for a King.
