"Big Baby" Nike X-Mas Day Hyperdunk Available on eBay

Boston Celtics big man Glenn “Big Baby” Davis sported this green/gold/red Nike Hyperdunk on Christmas Day in Los Angeles. NBA Commissioner David Stern enacted a new allowance during the summer that allowed players to wear kicks that didn’t correspond or match up with the regimented uniform or color blocking requirements put forth in the rule book. The Swoosh and “Baby” Davis took advantage, mixing and matching a bit of red around the Nike check to accompany the combination patent leather/leather green/gold schema. Big Baby’s size 18 skis are available now on eBay, so get yours.

As part of Friday’s plethora of player exclusive releases at the House of Hoops in Chicago, Kobe’s Nike Hyperdunk Supreme PE will also be released. This pair of player exclusives features a bright yellow base, purple Nike swoosh, and purple accents to successfully display the Los Angeles Lakers’ team colors. As we have all come to know, Kobe Bryant’s light-weight hyperdunks have become the sneaker of choice for basketball players around the world. Though Bryant has not been spotted using this colorway on the courts to keep the Lakers a perfect 7-0 up till now, this pair helped Kobe jump a pool full of snakes in the popular Hyperdunk commercial; thus, this pair is commonly referred to as the Kobe Bryant Nike Hyperdunk Snake Pool. Expect these to release at House of Hoops in Chicago tomorrow, November 14th, 2008. Via Footlocker.

Glenn Davis Celtics

The Celtics began the 2008 NBA season thinking about last year, (Boston doesn’t forget, Johnny) as the squad relived the glory of their ‘07 ‘Chip. Rarefied Air was fairly ubiquitous on Opening Night, with Ray Allen breaking out these and Rajon Rondo not sporting some Reeboks. Glenn “Big Baby” Davis rolled out in an incredible gold/green pair of Nike’s inventive Hyperdunk. Don’t mind that they look like they’re going to be split in half by Davis’s calf, just pretend they’re on your feet and you’ll be good. Via Yahoo Sports

Insole Art: Nike “All American” Hyperdunk

The quality’s in the details. (Something I still wish the Momdukes would’ve told me when growing up…) The aforementioned adage can ostensibly be applied to any number or range of topics, including footwear. Nike recently took the advertising reigns to McDonald’s High School All-Star Game and quickly decided to draft up at Micky D’s Hyperdunk (A MCD Bluechip will also be available–more on that soon!)that would even keep Eric Schlosser content. The black/red/blue/yellow color scheme is straight up suspect, but the insole is undoubtedly phat. Ronald McDonald’s heart attack inducing fries spell out “All American.” The “All-American” food for the All-American Game. Wonderful. Via RANDZ4937 of ISS.
