As we take a closer look at the Nike Air Huarache Free Basketball 2012, let us remind you that this is not just any ordinary basketball sneaker.

In fact, the upcoming Nike Air Huarache Free Basketball 2012, which takes design inspiration from the original Huarache series, combines the aspects of basketball, running, and cross-training all into one solid model. The new Huarache, designed to take your on-court game to higher levels (granted you work hard), will feature the shoe’s classic exoskeleton construction, an inner-booty for a secure lock-down fit, and a Phylite-enhanced Free sole unit intended to maximize traction, comfort, and flexibility.

After previewing these kicks back in August, we now get an even closer look at the Nike Huarache Free.

Slated for a release in 2012, these kicks pair a low top version of the original Huarache upper with a Phylite Nike Free sole.  This particular pair retains the classic color blocking of the originals, sporting a predominately white leather upper with a gold and teal neoprene sleeve underneath.

A perfect training/running hybrid, the Nike Huarache Free is set to drop in 2012.

Going back to basics with the design cues of the Air Flight Huarache, the Huarache Bball is comprised of a lighter exo-skeleton shell, outrigger and TPU heel support wrap and smooth inner-bootie sock liner on top of Nike’s multi-directional “flex-bottom” outsole.  Modern performance with a classic feel, this joint is sure to fly off the shelves next year for $115. This year marks the 15th anniversary of the Sony Playstation console. Many strides have been made since we first were introduced to the Sony Playstation, and the electronics brand has chosen to mark this occasion with another Nike x Sony collaboration. Sony Playstation has advanced to the point where it can now rival the Nintendo Wii with its Sony Playstation Move Motion controller, which, much like the Nintendo Wii, allows the average gamer to use his/her body AS the control. That said, a “Move” Nike Huarache Trainer has been designed with inspiration from the Move Motion controller. Moreover, “Killzone” Nike SFB boots were created and inspired by the Killzone 3 video game. Take a further look into this Nike x Sony Playstation “Move Pack” after the jump. But, remember, these will be a friends and family only release- as has become customary with these collaborations.

Two NBA athletes we know have a particular affinity for the revamped Nike Huarache 2010 are the Orlando Magic’s Rashard Lewis and the Memphis Grizzlies’ Rudy Gay. Now it’s a rookie’s turn to get a personalized pair. Pictured here is the Chicago Bulls’ Taj Gibson’s Nike Huarache 2010 player exclusive. The young product of USC’s basketball farm will most likely often be seen sporting this nice pair of black/red-white basketball sneakers that also sport the athlet’s name on the tongue. I mean, REALLY- what does black/red-white NOT look good on?

In early February we informed our readers of a House of Hoops release of, among other sneakers, what seemed to be an “away” Nike Huarache 2010 PE of the Memphis Grizzlies’ Rudy Gay. While the Memphis Grizzlies have had a challenging NBA season, there is a bunch of promise in the core group of young players on the roster. Now we’re able to show you one of their stars’ “home” Nike Huarache 2010 PE. Pictured here is what Rudy Gay will most likely be showing off while on his team’s home court. It looks extremely similar to the away version, except the black has been swapped for white. As much as you might like these, you better hope for another exclusive House of Hoops release if you want to get your hands on these PEs.

For those of you who are fans of the Nike Air Huarache Trainer, here’s what might be some welcomed information. That classic Nike silhouette got revamped to the tune of the Nike Zoom Huarache TR mid pictured here in a black/grey/white/red color palette. This news comes after word of such classic Nike releases coming back in 2010 such as the Nike Air Total Max Uptempo and Nike Air Go LWP.
