We all know about Nike’s artist series, especially the collaboration with Pharrell to create the Nike Dunk High Pharrell’s. But what we didn’t know was the unreleased sample from the shoe that was made in the form of a snakeskin Nike Dunk High. That’s right, before the Nike Dunk High Pharrell came the Nike Dunk High Pharrell Sample in snakeskin. The shoe uses a snakeskin upper, instead of the black leather upper. Other than the snakeskin, the shoe is exactly the same as the original, with the red laces, translucent sole, brain symbol, swoosh, and numbered tongue tag.

Yesterday, we featured an article showing you an installment of Nike Skinny Dunk Highs that will be releasing in Spring – Summer of 2009. We now have pictures of two more pairs of “Skinny” Dunk Highs that will be made exclusively for the ladies. These two pairs both feature a checkered pattern on the rear of the sneaker, whereas the toebox is composed solely of a solid color. The first colorway of the two has a checkered white and blue pattern accented by the white swoosh and blue toebox. The second of these colorways yields a red and white checkered pattern on the rear with a white swoosh, and red toebox to complete the look. Though we have not seen too many of these dunk highs lately, the Nike “Skinny” Dunk High enables the ladies to look stylish without sacrificing comfort in the process. Alongside our Nike Dunk Low 2009 Preview that we featured earlier today, we now give you a preview of a plethora of Nike Dunk Highs that will drop in 2009. Nike Dunk Highs are a multipurpose sneaker which many use to play basketball or skate in, but there are also those who use the Nike Dunk High just to keep their sneaker game fresh. In 2009, the Nike Dunk High will receive plenty unique colorways and treatments such as the use of colored mesh and a splattered paint treatment to keep the Dunk High staying on top of many sneakerheads’ wishlists. In more Nike news, here’s a peak at yet another pack of Nike Dunk High’s, entitled the Neon Pack. The pack consists of Dunk High’s available in neon orange and neon yellow. Each model will be made up of texturized nylon, white mid-sole and gum sole. In retrospect, it appears Nike will be heading in a more bright and bold direction for 2009, but we have seen a wide variety of designs and it has been from both sides of the spectrum. Look for the Neon Pack to drop next April at Vagant.

Tying in to the Ultimate Glory Energy Event in October, these Nike Dunk High’s take the use of elephant print to a new level. Adorned in a solid red and elephant print upper, these sneakers also featured “Ultimate Glory” label on the tongue as well as Chavez and De La Hoya embroidered at the heels of the sneakers. There hasn’t been much information to support the sneakers, but we assume red is used to represent the gloves and the names on the heel refer to the two boxers. Stay posted for more info. Via NSB.

As Summer comes to an end and students go back to school, new images of what has been labeled the “Back to School” Nike Dunks have surfaced. We mentioned early the upper features crayon scribbles along with yellow accented on the laces, swoosh and sole.
