Perhpas a more appropriate title for this write-up would be, “It’s Nautical, Sir.” After all, the Nike Mad Jibe “Boat Dunk” transitions away from the juvenile-spirited products being churned out of “The Beav”, opting for a more sophisticated and refined look. Down below, the Mad Jibe offers up the ubiquitous Dunk midsole and all of the cushioning and tractional elements you’d expect to see in standard SB fare. Up top, the shoe incorporates a “boat moccasin” toebox, striped laces, and silver lace eyerings. The ankle collar is reinforced with buttery smooth leather, so feel free to abuse these as you so choose. Oh, and check the debossed Nike logo plastered along the middle panel. Intriguing, right?
