Joining the “Orange Ember” Bruin is a royal blue colorway.

Featuring the same look in varsity royal, these also have Nike’s vintage treatment with a yellowed sole and exposed tongue padding and are completed with a suede upper, leather Swoosh and retro tongue branding.

Previously only released overseas, these are also now available at Premier for $90.

Nike Sportswear has dropped a number of vintage releases this month, a couple of which take the form of the classic Bruin.

Retaining the timeless look of the original, these feature a premium suede upper alongside a white leather Swoosh, white sole and a white nylon tongue with exposed padding.

Now available alongside the classic black Bruin VNTG is this Varsity Royal colorway from Nike Sportswear.

The timeless kicks feature a blue suede upper alongside a white accents on the leather lining, nylon tongue, sole, and leather Swoosh. The shoe also receives Nike’s vintage treatment, with yellowing soles, exposed tongue padding, and retro tongue tab.

The varsity royal Bruin VNTG is available now from select NSW spots like Afew.

Nike very rarely drops any non-SB Bruins anymore, but, thankfully, the vintage looks we previewed back in December are beginning to roll out to retailers.

Like many of Nike’s primordial basketball shoes, Bruin Low, originally release in the mid-’70s, has reemerged as a casual threat by way of Nike’s SB (Skateboarding) division. Initially, the shoe was primed for an August release, but several skate shops around the nation have reported getting in early shipments of the Nike Zoom Bruin SB Military Blue/White.
