In April we brought you a brief look at a Nike Blazer that obviously draws a lot of inspiration from everyone’s toyhood toy- the Rubik’s Cube. It generated a lot of votes/opinions, with the average sneakerhead rendering it an overall good design. Although the shoe only releases in grade school sizes, it seems evident that many women and men with small feet will give the Nike Blazer GS “Rubik’s Cube” a test drive. Now is your opportunity as your major Nike retailers now have these for sale- if not in store at least online. So let us know here if you’re planning on snatching a pair of these.

A mere six days into November and we already have some exciting news regarding a very anticipated release. We saw a pair of red/black/white Nike Big Nike Highs release a little over a month ago as part of this year’s Spike Lee collection. But we have also been showing you glimpses of a Nike Blazer High from that collection; and, we can now inform you that that very Blazer will be hitting Foot Lockers nationwide in the coming weeks. Coming in a predominantly white base with green, red, and black accents, this pair of shoes could be a perfect- more subtle- pair for the Christmas season. For how many of you is this a must-cop? A week ago we previewed for our followers a Nike Blazer ND in somewhat of an infrared colorway. Many of our readers really liked what they saw- from colorway, to materials used, to (especially) the reworked Nike swoosh. Today, we bring you a look at another similar pair. This Blazer is done up in a “bone” and navy blue colorway, with a mix of both leather and suede materials on the upper. The laces area comes in a grey that’s just a bit darker than the “bone,” and there is a navy blue pattern circling the entire sole, while the Nike swoosh has again been replaced with perforations that simply outline the brand’s famous logo. Like the first pair we showed you, these are on sale at very select Nike retailers- both online and in-store- so do your hunting before these are all gone. If you can remember, Nike Sportswear previously came out with “Try On” pairs of popular shoe silhouettes such as the Air Force 1 Low, Air Max 95, and Dunk High. Now, Nike Sportswear brings you this “Try On” pair of Blazer High’s, which is made in all grey except for the patented Nike swoosh that is white. As is customary with these limited, QS releases, this tumbled leather sneaker is available now exclusively at 21 Mercer in the New York City SoHo area.

In mid-September we brought you a look at the “Blue Foamposite” Nike Blazer High and informed you that the sneaker would be releasing soon. Soon has become now. This sleek and innovative pair of Nike Blazer High’s can be found at participating House of Hoops locations nationwide. However, these are expected to go like hot cakes- at least judging from the response we got from a lot of sneakerheads and the well-chronicled love for the Nike Foamposite’s, which are remembered through this Blazer. With the Halloween season suddenly upon us and Nike’s history of sneaker releases that commemorate the holiday, it’s no surprise that much attention is being given to the splattered red Nike Blazer. But because Nike always seems to be looking forward, we to want to keep you up to par with the latest Nike news. Today, it comes in the form of the Nike Blazer “Blaze Out” pictured here, which is a re-working of the Nike Blazer and is set to release in Spring of 2010. The heel is made of red nylon while the front exterior is done up in black premium leather. What do you guys think of Nike’s latest idea?

We have heard plenty of SB news this year, including the perhaps unforgettable “Brainwreck” headlines. Now SneakerFiles has for you another interesting bit of SB news. Shot by Jason Hernandez completely in High Definition, the Nike SB film titled “Debacle” has actually become available at certain Nike SB accounts in Blu-Ray. Nike also seems to have a complementary Nike SB Blazer also dubbed the “Debacle” that comes in a predominantly black suede upper with white accents throughout the rest of the skateboarder’s shoe. On the heel and in the insole of the shoe is printed the word “Debacle,” which most evidently sets this Blazer SB apart from all other Blazers that have come in similar colorways. What do you all think of this Nike experiment and the not-so-subtle tribute to the Nike SB film?
