Nike Zoom Kobe IV (4) Chaos (Joker) Edition

Earlier this week, we covered the latest full-length commercial and the MPLS Nike Zoom Kobe IV (4). In celebration of the “Batmania” frenzy that has infiltrated the nation, Nike and Kobe Bryant crafted a shoe that was inspired by The Dark Knight’s moonstruck villain, the Joker. Toned up in a unique white/team grey/purple/Joker green color scheme, the Chaos ZKIV features multicolored laces and a blood spattered sockliner. The model features Nike Basketball’s Flywire containment system and bouncy Lunar Foam in the forefoot. The model’s outsole is comprised of a multidirectional herringbone outsole. Lowtop Love: Nike Zoom MVP (2 Colorways!)

Steve Nash is a rarity in the NBA; he’s one of the few players employed that strictly balls in lowtop sneakers. The Phoenix Suns frontman and Nike Basketball cornerstone will spend the 2009 seasons abusing opponents in the Nike Zoom MVP, a sleek shoe that places emphasis on smooth transition, wicked traction, and heel fit sturdier than Riker’s. The MVP has already hit Asia in a white/orange/team grey color scheme and a black/grey/royal blue/volt colorway. Both versions should hit the U.S.  in the coming weeks. Images via Kenlu.

On Court: Nike Zoom Kobe IV (4) - "Carpe Diem"

After debuting the Nike Zoom Kobe IV (4) “Venom” in his last game, Kobe Bryant is back at it again and is rocking a new colorway of the Nike ZKIV this time. This colorway seems to be extremely similar to the Carpe Diem colorway of the Nike Zoom Kobe IV which is set to drop on January 17th, 2009. On another note, Kobe Bryant has seen much personal success while rocking his new low-top sneaker which is exhibited by the 41 points Kobe dropped against the Orlando Magic last night. As for the Los Angeles Lakers as a team, they are 0-2 since Kobe has started wearing his newest signature sneaker on the courts. Will Kobe continue to rock the Nike Zoom Kobe IV? Will the L.A. Lakers continue to lose? Stay tuned for the next installment of “On Court” to find out. Pics via Yahoo Sports.

Nike Zoom Lebron VI (6) - Chalk

If you have seen any of the Cleveland Cavaliers games this season, you have most likely noticed Lebron James coming to the scorer’s table before the game begins and performing his pre-game ritual of rubbing chalk on his hands and throwing the excess chalk into the air. The chalk is meant to give players added grip on their hands and it is used by most players in the NBA, though not in the same way as Lebron James. Inspired by James’ unusual pre-game ritual, Nike has decided to design a colorway of the Nike Zoom Lebron VI commemorating the ritual. Featuring a navy blue patent leather toebox and canvas upper, a “hardwood” colored midsole, and a silhouette of Lebron James throwing chalk into the air on the tongue, this sneaker combines the Cleveland Cavalier’s team colors with Lebron’s unique pre-game ritual to yield an interesting colorway of Lebron’s newest sneaker, the Nike Zoom Lebron VI. There is no release date as of yet, but be sure to stay tuned for updates! Via NikeBasketball.

On Court: Nike Zoom Kobe IV "Venom"

Kobe Bryant of the Los Angeles Lakers first debuted his newest sneaker model, the Zoom Kobe IV, in a black/gold/purple colorway earlier tonight. Referred to as “Venom”, this colorway features a graphic-filled black upper alongside a gold swoosh and a purple toebox. The inspiration of this clean colorway comes from one of Bryant’s favorite comic villains, Venom from Spiderman 3. Up until now, we have seen Kobe rocking Hyperdunks and a fusion between the Hyperdunk and the Kobe IV this season, but now we will most likely see him in this low-top model for the rest of the year or until Nike decides to release a new ZK model. As for the game, the Los Angeles Lakers lost to the Miami Heat by the score of 89-87. This colorway of the ZKIV is now available at Broward Mall Foot Locker in Miami and the Footlocker House Of Hoops in L.A. (information below). Pictures of the Nike Zoom Kobe IV “Venom” and Kobe rocking this pair can be seen after the jump.  Pics via Yahoo Sports and The 305.
