It seems with every look, anticipation for the Yeezy 2 grows even more. At this point, it’s not out of the realm of possibility that this could be THE single biggest release of all time.

Yesterday we saw Jay-Z wearing the Air Yeezy 2 at the NYE Kentucky vs. Louisville game, and today we share some pictures of Lil Wayne wearing the Nike Air Yeezy courtside at the Miami Heat vs. Atlanta Hawks game wearing the Nike Air Yeezy.

Not only did Lil Wayne have on the Air Yeezy, but he was wearing the Odd Future “Earl” sweatshirt, leopard print shorts and what looks like a red G-Shock. Stay tuned as we bring more celebrities rocking heat.

The Nike Air Yeezy 2 has undoubtedly been the primary focus of sneaker goers here on SneakerFiles over the past few months, and as time passes the highly anticipated Kanye West sneaker will only continue to heat up conversation on our site.

What might come as a relief to most Nike Air Yeezy fans who missed out on the 2009 release, a complete deadstock collection of all three colorways – Zen Grey/Light Charcoal, Black/Pink, and Net/Net – is now available for sale in an online auction from mjmurphy923 on eBay.

Now that the Kanye/Jay-Z “Watch The Throne” Tour is underway, hype for the Air Yeezy 2 is stronger than ever.

Thankfully, we are now treated to the best look yet at the black/pink colorway.  The Yeezy 2 clearly sports greater textural contrasts than its predecessor with a molded heel counter, a faux croc/snakeskin leather on the medial and lateral panels, a diamond pattern on the tongue, a smooth leather midfoot strap, and a toebox with a pattern that looks somewhat similar to the mamba upper of the Kobe VI.  We’ll have to wait for some official images for a full breakdown of the kicks, but now we at least have a glimpse at the premium materials on hand for this upcoming release.

Tiffany Beers, a designer at Nike was spotted wearing a Nike Air Yeezy sample that glows in the dark at Montalban Theatre in Hollywood, CA for the Nike Air Mag Back For the Future auctions.

Beers, who has worked on the Nike Air Mag and Nike Air Yeezy took to the stage with the sample pair that appears seldom.

We have seen images of Kanye West wearing the Nike Air Yeezy 2, but never just a clean side view. Today an image appeared online displaying the Nike Air Yeezy 2 in black and what looks like a pastel teal. After looking at the pictures of Kanye West and the Air Yeezy 2, you have to say this is the expected release, but the only question is; is this a photoshop? Using the Air Tech Challenge midsole, rumor has it the Yeezy II will release on November 25th 2011 (Black Friday). Stay tuned for more information and pictures.
