Last year the Nike Air Safari was pegged as one of the Nike silhouettes used to help pay homage to Spike Lee. In 2010, the Nike Air Safari makes one of its first appearances in a colorway that has over the last couple of years won over so many sneakerheads. Pictured here is the Nike Air Safari in a purple/black-white colorway and with safari print along different parts of the entire upper, including the heel and beneath the toe box. However, the purple shoe laces and ankle lining also seem to include a safari-like print. These have arrived now at select overseas retailers for those of you who can’t wait to see whether or not they’ll see a stateside release.

We last saw a preview of the Nike Air Safari in the latest black/grey-orange colorway a month ago as part of the Holiday 2009 releases for Nike. Now, we have a closer look at the Nike Air Safari LE in the aforementioned colorway. The Nike Air Safari comes in a holiday-theme-fitting colorway, using a black leather upper with grey elephant print panels and orange contrast stitching throughout the upper. The dark upper is complemented by a black and grey midsole, while offset by a bright orange outsole to spice things up. These Safaris are available now for about $135 online.
