The Parra x Nike Air Maxim 1 collaboration model has finally hit select sneaker boutiques around the country, after months of serious anticipation. Featuring a speckled midsole, matching bordered laces, and bold tongue graphics, the model is really completed by the subtle contrast stitching and black-on-black Swoosh embossing. The release goes hand in hand with a series of ironic “The Lovely Underachieving Loners” jackets and shirts designed by the Dutch collaborator. Apart from retro-ing Nike classics from the 80’s and 90’s, Nike has not only brought back the Nike Air Max 1, but added its latest shoe technology to create the Nike Air Maxim 1 ND. This time around, the Air Maxim 1 comes in two colorways: red/white and blue/white. The Maxim’s resemble the Nike Air Max 1 in every way, from fit to form, except for the side panel, which features Nike’s Flywire technology. The Flywire side panel features a printed swoosh as opposed to a typical suede leather swoosh in the respective colors. Both shoes have white midsoles and black outsoles to finish off these Air Maxes. Available this July.
