The Nike Air Griffey Max 1 will make another appearance this year, this time being a classic colorway, much like the first two retro release of the Griffey Max 1. The original ‘Fresh Water’ colorway will hit stores August 10th, but are available now at online stores like Kicks-Crew. Inspired by his time spent with the Cincinnati Reds, The Nike Air Griffey Max 1 gets another new colorway.

The White/Black/Sport Red- Metallic Silver was first seen in a photo scan back in August. Today we have an actual image of the upcoming sneaker in its bold new look. Whether you’re a fan of trainers or not, one cannot deny that these look great… and that could be an understatement.

Could this possibly be the best non-OG colorway to date? We will find out come spring 2011.

We’ve seen pictures of a Nike Air Max Griffey 1 that once again proved the silhouette is well-loved. That colorway is grey/marina blue-metallic silver and has been driving sneakerheads crazy with anticipation of an official release because of the hints of blue atop a smooth grey upper. Well, SneakerFiles would like to now inform you that this sneaker will be seeing an official release on the 20th of this month, February. It will be made available for purchase that Saturday from select Nike retailers such as Foot Locker and House of Hoops locations nationwide. February is looking huge for sneaker enthusiasts. But remember, there are still ten months to go!

After retro’ing Griffey’s first signature shoe with the brand, Nike have released a new but instant classic colorway for the popular sneaker. The Nike Air Griffey Max 1 comes in a grey/silver/blue colorway, complete with a grey leather and synthetic upper, metallic silver swoosh, and turquoise blue accents at the laces, tongue tab, and back heel swoosh. The turquoise nicely contrasts the full grey upper, a trait that is staple for the shoe’s previous colorways. The clean upper sits on a white midsole and black outsole to get the job done. You can cop this shoe early before it hits the States for $117.

Last week a full preview of the Nike Air Max Lebron VII Phantom definitely brought out the voters in our fans as many gave the shoe very high approval ratings.
