With rumors and pictures floating around the internet, Nike Sportswear has finally announced information regarding the collaboration with KAWS/Original Fake. Chosen for the project is the classic Air Max 90 and the new Air Max 90 Current designed by Jesse Leyva. The previously seen Nike Air Max 90 Kaws – Original Fake features a with upper along neon green accents and signature KAWS designs. The second model that is included is the Air Max 90 Current, a new model that features a Free sole. However, for this special collaboration ACG inspired materials are applied to the Air Max 90 Current. Release is scheduled for October 18th at the two locations below.

After a very exclusive release of the KAWS x Nike Air Force 1 apart of the 1World Project, the two are back at it again working with one of the most popular Air Max models, the Nike Air Max 90. The Air Max 90 is similar to the Air Force 1, however white is the dominating upper color, however light green accents appear in the form of KAWS signature “XX” design throughout the sneaker. Premium materials also make up the sneaker, this can be seen on the toe box. In addition, it has been rumored that the artists included in the 1World Air Force 1 series will also be chosen for a collection of Air Max 90’s, but nothing has been confirmed yet. Via kiDulty.

The latest Nike Air Max 90 consists of a Nike iD-esque make-up that includes a variety of colors and materials. Liberal uses of colors, including black, silver and gold appear on the upper along with patent leather. A metallic silver swoosh is complimented by a black patent leather mudguard and gold laces, tongue logo and sole. This Air Max 90 sports the premium look with out having the premium price. Since its release, the Nike Air Max 90 Current has been limited to only a few styles, but comes up big with this artist edition pack. August will be the month of the series and several artist edition models will be released. Only one of the three Air Max 90 Currents has been identified, the orange pair designed by Kevin Lyons, but the whereabouts of the others is unknown. Stay posted for more info.
