Nike is bringing it back to the basics with this release of the Nike Air Max 90 Premium LE. This shoe features a simple black/white-varsity red-varsity blue colorway, using premium leather on the upper along with the classic mesh throughout. Black leather is contrasted nicely by a white leather swoosh to match the midsole, toebox, and side panels, along with a varsity blue mesh inner lining, gold Air Max unit covering, and varsity red laces hole panels. It seems as if this shoe were straight from Nike iD, but it will be available for general retail this coming January.

Nike is appreciating the old school with its latest release of the Nike Air Max 90. This AM90 features a white/white-varsity maize colorway, a nice simple colorway which sports a full white leather and mesh upper. But, that’s not all; the black midsole rocks a varsity maize waffle iron design to pay homage to Bill Bowerman’s ingenious waffle iron idea, which he utilized for the Nike Waffle Racer and Nike Waffle Trainer. As we saw a small glimpse of the Nike Air Max 90 Day of the Dead edition already, we’ve come upon some detailed looks of the shoe. The Nike Air max 90 DOTD sports a black leather base to set the dark tone of Halloween. Orange has been placed in the mix of the shoe and its pattern on the mudguard, along with hints of green and purple. Black mesh on the toebox and the black leather are contrasted by the purple patent leather swoosh, inner lining, and purple outsole. This colorway definitely depicts the Day of the Dead theme, and makes a great addition to your Halloween hypebeast costume, especially with the matching glow in the dark shirt. Dizzee Rascal teams up with British designer Ben Drury to construct a colorway of the Nike Air Max 90 to go along with the upcoming release of his fourth studio album, “Tongue N’ Cheek”. Utilizing pink fleshy tones, the model features the record title “Tongue N’ Cheek” embroidered across the shoe’s tongues, as well as a ‘Dirtee Stank Recordings’ fly on the flip side of the outsole and tongue. Drury also incorporates a splash of 3M through the lace accents and embossed Dizzee silhouette heel panels. The model is set to release in limited quantities on September 18th, three days prior to the new album.

Continuing with the “electric green” theme popping up in sneaker news, most notably associated with the Vandal High, Nike plans to release a Nike Air Max 90 Current in a similar colorway. This particular pair is very intricate. First off, it comes in a predominantly dark colored base, which allows for the grey braille pattern to be pronounced. Electric green accents are applied to the patented Nike check and around the air bubble unit. To finish things off, Nike has applied a vibrant blue to the shoe’s sock lining and air bubble, while it all sits atop a white sole and comes with shoe laces in the same color.
