Thanks to recent news regarding such Nike running shoes as the Nike Air 180 and the Nike Air Max Modular 95, it seems as though other popular Nike running shoes have taken a back seat. Thanks to a sample pair, it seems as though that might be the end of that for the Nike Air Max 1. Pictured here is a sample pair of the Nike Air Max 1 in a white/orange blaze-grey colorway that has surfaced on the ‘Bay. The mid-panel sports grey nubuck, while the toe box and heel contain some white mesh material. Lastly, the most evident touches of color come by way of orange blaze (used along different parts of the entire upper) and yellow (used on both the eyelets and Nike logo on the tongue). As is usual with samples, only a size 9 is available- but do you even wish they were available in more?

Just yesterday we brought you a look at a collaboration between the PHANTACi shop in Taiwan, artist Jay Chou, and Nike. The result of this collaboration is an Air Max 1 in black patent leather, white, and pink. It may be hard to believe, but the Nike Air Max 1 silhouette seems to actually have become MORE famous and popular as of late. A recent collaboration between Patta and Nike resulted in a Quickstrike Nike Air Max 1 that aided in spreading this silhouette’s appeal. And just yesterday we reported that the Nike Air Max 1 can receive iD treatment at the 21 Mercer shop in New York City. Nike once again decided to go the collaboration route- this time working with the Taiwan-based PHANTACi store and artist Jay Chou. As can be guessed by the nickname, this Air Max 1 is inspired by the piano. The keys are represented through the predominantly white color base, while the black patent leather represents the piano itself. And the pink highlights on the outsole and ankle lining were chosen because pink is the PHANATCi store’s signature color. This Nike Air Max 1 will be limited to 400 pairs worldwide, so stay tuned for more release information as soon as it becomes available.

Size? was one of the European retailers to have recently collaborated with Reebok to produce a Reebok Pump 20 as part of the shoe’s 20th anniversary. First spotted during Team Patta’s interview with Complex magazine, a mere peek at this latest collaboration model has got a lot of people excited. Featuring a predominantly maroon upper, the colorway is accented well with hits of aqua on the outsole, inner Swoosh, and tongue tag. Using varsity letter material and what appears to be suede, the model mixes up both color and fabric in a relatively refreshing way. No news on whether or not the shoes will be seeing a release anytime soon, but stayed tuned for more information.
