With a slew of both Nike and Jordan Brand silhouettes able to receive personalized treatment, the long-awaited return of the Air Max 1 to Nike iD is finally in sight. You can now mark your calendars on November 15, 2009 to remind yourself of when the relaunch of the Nike Air Max 1 online and in-store iD is. Air Max 1 fans will be excited to hear of the POSSIBILITY that among the special ways to personalize your shoe will be the use of mesh, suede, splatter print, and even 3M material. Of course, Nike retains the right to move this date up or back, but let’s hope this one at least sticks (if not moves up).

Many Nike Air Max heads were probably waiting for the holiday drop of the anticipated black/red/white Nike Air Max 1 we showed you earlier. However, this Nike Air Max 1 could very well have just replaced the aforementioned one as the most liked from the holiday season collection. The Nike East vs. West Rivalry Pack is taking over, with releases from either side popping up left and right. This time, the Nike Air Max 1 represents the West, in a clean navy blue/black/white colorway. The upper consists of blue suede and black mesh, along with a white inner lining to match the white midsole, which sits atop  a black outsole. The light blue lace eyelet matches the light blue insole, which features a beaver graphic print, alluding to the Nike Headquarters in Beaverton, Oregon. Earlier this summer the females were treated to an array of Nike Air Max 1’s that were part of a “Safari” Pack. Now, a popular colorway of two purple tones and grey have been applied to a new Air Max 1 that also sports a more subtle touch of the iconic safari print. With a suede and mesh upper, the safari print consists of synthetic leather, and the laces holes contain yellow accents. The 2009 holiday season is shaping up to be a big one- due in large part to a number of highly sought after Jordan releases. As always, Nike’s trying to do its part to make a splash with other sneakers as well. The Nike Air Max 1 ND pictured here comes in a red, white, and black colorway that also sports an upper made out of suede and mesh. Inside, the shoe’s sole has a picture of what seems to be a cartoon gopher; which, if nothing else, serves as an added touch to separate this Nike Air Max 1 from others. Amsterdam based kicks and clothing store “Patta” has teamed up with Nike on the downlow to create the Patta x Nike Air Max 1 Sample in a white/black/lucky green colorway. This sample which certainly has a simple yet unique style has only three released pairs. The shoe consists of suede, mesh, and premium weave materials, while using a classic white midsole and gumsole. The black swoosh does well with the white and green contrasts, and Patta makes its mark on the back heel panels in green embroidery. The insoles also feature a Pink Floyd-esque “P” to embrace the store’s name inside as well as outside. These babies have sold for almost 2 grand on eBay; a hefty price for a rare pair, indeed.
