Since its inception back in 1982, the Nike Air Force One has served as one of sneaker history’s most iconic and overtly celebrated silhouettes. From edgy or simple colorways to innovative designs and collaborations, this model has continued as a staple in footwear.

To kick off the sneaker’s 30th Anniversary in 2012, Nike will bring us the women’s Nike Air Force 1 Low Light “Julep”. Adding an interesting design twist to the low top sneaker, this model will slim down a bit with no inner lining and a smaller sole. Luckily there will be no other major cosmetic changes as the upper layout will remain the same. As we’re sure many of our readers may be wondering “Why”, this change may actually work out in our favor in the long run considering that our future will demand more efficient and or environmentally friendly products.

Nike Sportswear and Medicom collab once again to bring you the new Nike Air Force One x Medicom “Version Pack”.

As previewed once, not too long ago, this pack features all faux fur uppers, white accenting and specially designed tongue badging, blank heel tab and a soft, premium inner sock liner.

This pack will come available in black and white and is available overseas now! No word yet on a US release date, but stay tuned as we uncover more on this Tier 0 release.

The Nike Air Force One iD has always served as a platform for sneaker goers to use their imagination when customizing the classic shoe. With the ability to take inspiration from just about anything including movie characters, this Nike Air Force One iD “Despicable Me Minion” carries on tradition.

Inspired by Minion Maker, a fun character from the blockbuster hit movie, “Despicable Me“, this Nike Air Force One iD uses a blue suede upper with black wool panels along the toe box, side panels, and tongue. Other features of this iD include a clear sole with a graph paper inspired design, a yellow midsole, chenille Swoosh, and a custom hang tag.

Nike has created an original web series, “The Ones,” presented by Nike Air Force One that profiles creative individuals who are revolutionizing their respective fields and whom are special in their own right. Having debuted the series this past summer with appearances from Travis Gumbs and Joshua Kissi of Street Etiquette, this latest episode introduces us to a talented poet and lyricist from Philadelphia who goes by the name of STS, or Sugar Tongue Slim.

The Nike Air Force One is known around the Big Apple as “uptowns” within sneakerhead circles. Well, the brand has now decided to once again pay homage to the city that never sleeps by designing a Boro pack of Nike Air Force One lows that represent for Harlem, Queens, Brooklyn and the Bronx. Um… sorry, Staten Island. These go on sale tomorrow, August 12th, from within the ice cream truck that will be parked outside of the Nike Sportswear store on 21 Mercer street. New York stand up!

The Nike Destroyer’s Pack past consisted of solely (no pun intended) Nike Dunks. This year’s pack has expanded to the Nike Air Force 1 as well. The previously reported on Ultraman Nike Dunk High makes up one of this pack’s dunks. The second dunk contains perforated leather just like the Ultraman’s do. It’s made up of a white and orange base and black heel that also contains an orthodox but subtle pattern of lines. And lastsly, the aforementioned Nike Air Force 1 comes in a mid-cut with a predominantly black base, white sole, and yellow accents near the tongue, strap, and upper heel. While the Ultraman’s have been spotted at Nike retailers already, the other two should be dropping at Nike retailers also, as early as today.

Halloween season has become synonymous with Nike Air Force One Halloween releases among sneakerheads for a number of years now. This October, Nike is preparing us with an Air Force One that might one day find its way on to the list of best Halloween sneaker releases itself. Instead of the patent leather material used on the last couple of Halloween Air Force’s, this season’s Halloween release will be made up of mostly orange colored “pony hair” material on the upper and midsole with what looks like a brown or bubble gum sole. Moreover, on the heel of the shoe is written “Savage Beast-” perhaps drawing inspiration from the Gossamer’s evil character on the classic Bugs Bunny cartoon show. Obviously, these should be set to release sometime around (hopefully before) October 31, 2009.
