This week we caught wind of a return of the Nike Air Flightposite II in a limited edition metallic zinc colorway that got several basketball sneakerheads excited. We also received word of the official re-releasing of the ever-so-popular Nike Air Foamposite One Eggplant that last year also sent shoe fiends into a frenzy (yours truly included). Now we’d like to take the time to remind our readers that both of these Nike basketball silhouettes will be releasing in the mentioned colorways from select Nike retailers starting tomorrow, Saturday, March 6th. While the Nike Air Flightposite II releasing is retailing for $180 in adult sizes and should be worlds easier to get your hands on, the Eggplant Nike Air Foamposite One is going for the usual $200 price tag and will be much more difficult to get a hold of. Bottom line- plan ahead. Happy hunting!

As though the release of the Copper and re-release of the Eggplant Nike Air Foamposite Ones are not enough to satisfy sneakerheads’ appetite, rumors have begun to spread like wildfire of another Nike Air Foamposite One release. With the Pearl colorway also slated for a release some time around September 2010, now the original colorway that includes Royal Blue is also reportedly releasing around the same time in Fall 2010. We will be sure to validate or discredit these rumors as soon as more information becomes available. But should the rumors be true, how could anyone choose between the Pearl and Royal Blue colorways of the Nike Air Foamposite One? Touche, Nike. Touche.

Following the midnight release of the Nike Air Foamposite One “Copper,” Nike is making sure it does its best too rip through our pockets with a second release of the Nike Air Foamposite One “Eggplant” in the past two years. The rumors are true; the “Eggplants” will once again be releasing, this time around on March 6th of this year. They will drop from select Nike retailers as they did last time, which of course include House of Hoops locations and certain Foot Locker stores nationwide. Do we even have to ask? Which pair is hotter- the Copper or the Eggplant Nike Air Foamposite One?

This past Saturday, February 13, 2010, the Nike Air Foamposite One “Copper” released, from certain places as early as midnight. The release, however, was indeed limited- much like its “Eggplant” counterpart of a year ago. However, if you were unable to snag a pair, or as many as you were gunning for, the online Nike store has thankfully restocked this highly coveted sneaker. But if this past weekend was any indication of how sought after this shoe is, you won’t be able to find these online for the $200 retail price tag too long- so our advice is… ACT FAST.

But the wait is JUST about over. The Nike Air Foamposite One “Copper” will be releasing in a limited run and adult sizes tomorrow for a suggested retail price of $200. Certain Nike retailers that will be a part of this release might even start selling them as early as midnight- including online accounts and such stores as the Foot Locker shop in 120 West 34th Street, midtown Manhattan, NY. Dress warm! Either that or hope that no online problems occur- but with as high a demand as this sneaker has, that’s almost inevitable.
