We’ve all seen the Maryland House of Hoops exclusive colorway of the Nike Air Bakin, but apparently, the model has also returned in its popular Red/Black OG colorway. A surprise release to most of the sneaker world, the controversial model appears to stay true to its 1997 prototype, still as eye popping as ever with its contrast laces and metallic silver accents. Nike Basketball is still going strong, releasing new models as well as new colorways for classic models. The latest of the retro regime is the Nike Air Bakin Retro, which comes in a metallic silver/black-purple colorway. The upper consists of metallic silver leather with purple accents on the laces, heel tab, and mini-swooshes. Black contrasts the vibrant silver on the sole, mesh tongue, and netting beneath the metallic silver upper. This might be a bit bright for the court, but these are sure to be great pickups for any basketball shoe collector. More info on the release later on.
