New Balance CW996M - Summer 2009

The New Balance CW996M is definitely one of the most loved New Balance sneakers ever created, and the folks over at NB are bringing back the 996 in some new bright summer colorways. For the warmer weather ahead, New Balance is decking out the CW996M in three new styles: White/Lemonade, Black/Cherry, and White/Menthol. All three variations host an array of leather, mesh, and suede to maximize comfort while not sacrificing comfort. All three colorways of the New Balance CW996M are now available overseas, and are expected to hit stateside New Balance retailers in the Summer of 2009.

“I sport New Balance sneakers to avoid a narrow path.” – Phife Dawg

The Five Foot Assassin’s been on NB since “The Low End Theory” hit in ’91. Question is, where have you been? In a decade where poorly constructed reissues and haughty collabs dictate the market, it’s refreshing to see New Balance fastidiously recreate their products of yesteryear like they construct their performance stalwarts of today.

mita sneakers x ASTRO x New Balance MT576S

The MT576S is one of New Balance’s hybrid models, and this time around gets worked on in a collabo with mita sneakers and Japanese hip-hop group ASTRO. The upper consists of black suede, premium leather, and nubuck. For some extreme style, the sneakers are accented well by the gold foil toebox and gold eyelets. The ROLLBAR technology that is used in most New Balance models is seen here, so you should already expect some serious comfort. Saturday, May 23rd, this collaboration will be released exclusively at mita sneakers.

United Arrows x New Balance CM1500 & CM1700

United Arrows and New Balance are collaborating once again after previous encounters including their most project catching the eyes of Kanye West. This time around the two use the CM1500 and CM15700 as the canvas with both featuring a common theme of grey, white and navy. The 1500 consists of a grey suede upper, white mesh toebox and applications of navy on the inside and outside of the sneakers. The 1700 also sports a similar look, but uses a leather upper as opposed to suede. Both the New Balance CM1500 and CM1700 will be available at United Arrows Japan locations starting on May 23rd.

New Balance BB730 Limited Edition

New Balance has just released two new colorways of their BB730 model. The BB730 Limited Edition series looks more like a set of basketball shoes, rather than traditional runners which New Balance is known for. There’s a brown / white colorway, and a black / purple colorway; both are equally well designed. New Balance continues to release sneakers outside of the United States, so all of you better sacrifice those extra few dollars for shipping because it’s well worth it.
