New Balance collaborations have been resulting in clean colorways and executions- take the “Freedom Trail” release for example. This time, New Balance’s partner-in-crime is Denmark’s Norse Projects; and, the result is a very sleek pair of 670’s. This pair of New Balance 670’s sports both suede and mesh material throughout the upper, with a dark blue as the base color and lighter hues of blue accenting it. Scheduled to release on October 23, 2009 in select sneaker stores and New Balance retailers across Europe, this shoe could very well make those of us living stateside turn to online retailers or scramble to find an overseas connect.

DDC5741

There should be plenty of anticipation this Fall/Winter of 2009 for a collection of New Balance 574’s slated to drop. One of New Balance’s most classic shoes, the 574 is a fan favorite because of it’s comfort and style. And New Balance apparently know how to treat its babies- this time choosing to deconstruct the shoe and rebuild it with a plethora of updates. The re-introduction of this shoe is known as the DDC 574 and boasts metallic leathers as well as sophisticated nylon and suede materials. Comfortability has also been upgraded with this re-invention thanks to an Encap midsole that provides for more durability and stability, while new rubber materials make it even more flexible and softer on the foot. This collection of DDC 574 includes three colorways: multi-tonal brown, blue/green/brown, and grey/reflective silver. They range between $110 and $125 in price, and can be found for purchase on certain websites. Check in after the jump for more pix.

A sleeker, “in-line” version of the CM998, the New Balance M998 “UGY” pictured here has begun hitting New Balance retailers in an effort to become a mainstay in the company’s lifestyle running line. The upper contains both synthetic and suede materials, the toe box is made up of mesh, and the colorway comes in a predominantly black/grey/white combination with yellow accents primarily around the laces of the shoe. Judging by recent news of a collaboration with SneakersNStuff, it should come as no surprise that New Balance is at it again. This time, New Balance has teamed up with the crew over at Concepts store in Boston, Mass. The result was a hybrid of the New Balance 1500 and 875, which has been dubbed the “Freedom Trail” collection, after the two-and-a-half mile red brick path that not only paves the way for Boston tourists but also played a pivotal role in the American Revolution. The shoe itself comes in a chocolate-colored combination of suede and leather, red accents including shoe laces, and an off-white midsole. A pair of shoes with much history and collaborative efforts behind it, how do you think it came out? You can try to pass by or contact the Concepts store in an effort to cop a pair of these.

SNS x New Balance RGB Pack

It’s been ten years since Swedish shoe retailers Sneakers n Stuff was opened, and ten years calls for a celebratory collaboration. Thus, SNS teamed up with New Balance for a whopping fourth time to create the SNS x New Balance RGB Pack, which consists of a M577, M1500, and M1700. The pack gets its name from the colorways of each shoe, which follow in red, green, and blue, respectively. The red M577 uses a red premium leather and suede upper with perforated toebox and 3M accents. The green M1500 follows suit with the leather, suede, and mesh, but in green and grey, along with 3M piping. The blue M1700 uses an organic man made material ripstop upper in blue with yellow accents. There’s no word on an exact release date, except to expect it later this year.

New Balance is sure to break necks with the Horse Hair M575. But pictures have recently surfaced giving us a glimpse of what New Balance has in store for us in Spring 2010. And New Balance seems to still be able to come up with neck-breaking stuff without the need of showy, perhaps distracting material. The first picture here is of an array of five New Balance 150’s, which draw inspiration from the New Balance 1500 but are shaping up to release for less than the 1500. After the jump, you can check out two pictures of the New Balance 875, which draws inspiration from your generic hiking boot- with the teel blue and black colorway catching our attention the most. You can check in with your local New Balance retailers as we get closer to the spring of 2010 and these shoes get ready to release.
