About a month ago we saw three pairs of the New Balance 577, which were a result of a collaboration between the brand and Overkill. Now we know that the 577 is at least one model the New Balance team will focus on next year thanks to these few shots of two pairs set to release at some point in the spring/summer of 2010. One pair sports a red/brown/white colorway, while the other uses green instead of red, and both contain mesh on the toe box and near the heel. Who out there is already looking forward to these two pairs of the New Balance 577?

It’s been twenty years since the Berlin Wall was taken down. To celebrate the twentieth year since the collapse, New Balance has teamed up with Berlin-based Overkill shop to create the Berlin Wall pack. The Overkill x New Balance 577 Berlin Wall pack consists of three symbolic colorways of the New Balance 577. Each colorway is similar in the white mesh and grey nubuck base upper, differentiating in the main colors. Red represents the UdSSR flag, black for the Berlin bear mascot, and blue for the U.S. of A. Each pair features a significant printed insole to mark the historical event. These 577s were made in the UK and are limited to 577 pairs each worldwide, with a December 16th release date at the Berlin store.

Debuting way, way back in 1989, the New Balance 577 has aged well. Really well. (Not better than Moid Khan’s mom, however.) The technical runner turned casual shoe recently celebrated its 20th Anniversary with two new colorways. Specifically, a navy blue/grey/white and grey/grey/white will release. The limited edition kicks feature premium suede uppers and mesh accents. Comfort is brought about via New Balance’s patented Encap technology. The New Balance 577 20th Anniversary pack will hit NB accounts worldwide in the coming weeks.

A few weeks ago we reported an upcoming collaboration between Dutch boutique and the New Balance 577, now we get a better look at the multi-colored sneaker and are provided with solid info. Arnie of LFSTL decided to the cockroach as his main source of inspiration, one of the oldest and high involved creatures on this planet.
