Release Reminder: Air Jordan Six Rings - Black / Varsity Red - Dark Concord - Classic Green

Along with the Lakers colorway of the Air Jordan Six Rings releasing tomorrow, Jordan Brand is set to drop this Championship Pack Air Jordan Six Rings. This pair is inspired by the six NBA teams Michael Jordan’s Chicago Bulls defeated en route to Jordan’s six championship rings. Though the sneaker is predominately black, it features colors from each of the aforementioned six teams. Yielding a black leather upper accented by blue stitching, lasering, and icey clear panels on the sole, this pair falls into the small category of sneakers that have a simple colorway and still look good. The Championship Pack Air Jordan Six Rings is set to drop tomorrow, January 24, 2009, at select Air Jordan retailers for a retail price of $160. Pictures via ExtraButter.

Air Jordan 1 (I) Retro High - Blue Sapphire / Neon Turquoise - White

The Air Jordan 1 (I) Retro has been released multiple times over the course of the past few months. Some despise of these releases and say that Jordan Brand is ruining their best Air Jordan model by releasing too many colorways; whereas, others see it as a great chance to pick up some old and some new colorways of the sneaker that made Michael Jordan who he is today. This colorway of the Air Jordan 1 Retro High has never been seen before and might come as a shock to some sneakerheads. Due to the full blue fabric upper including blue laces, the white midsole stands out even more and gives this sneaker a fresh, new, and clean look. Another aspect of these new releases that we are seeing more and more of as time goes on is Jordan Brand releasing high-top AJ 1’s instead of the regular mid’s that are we are used to seeing. These will be released on January 1st, 2009 at select Jordan Brand retailers for a retail price of $105.00.

Michael Jordan Air Jordan IX (9) Player Exclusive 45 PE Cleats

In a decision heard ’round the world, Michael Jordan retired from the game of basketball to pursue a career in baseball. His announcement came shortly after the passing of his father, who had always envisioned his son as a Big Leaguer. MJ batted .202 with 3 HR, 51 RBI, 30 stolen bases, and 11 errors in a largely underwhelming campaign that was forever enshrined in cinematic classic Space Jam. (Mike also had a stint with the Scottsdale Scorpions in the 1994 Arizona Fall League.) Jordan sported the Tinker Hatfield-designed Jordan IX (9), his signature for the ‘94-95 season in a cleated format. The shoe featured an all-black upper and was distinguished by Jordan’s number “45″ and a clever Jumpman “Globe” logo stitched along the heel. (Tinker crafted the IX in recognition of Jordan and the game of basketball’s newfound global influence.) Via NikeTalk’s American Dream.
