To commemorate “The Moment The Game Changed,” Mitchell & Ness re-released Michael Jordan’s rookie jersey. The jersey itself is tailored to the exact specifications of the one that Jordan wore in 1984-85. These jerseys will release exactly 25-years after MJ graced the NBA hardwood (October 26, 1984). The Mitchell & Ness store in Philly, NBA Store in NYC, The Chicago Bulls team store, and NBAstore.com will be the only places to buy the jerseys, which retail for $375.

Mitchell & Ness delivered one of these jerseys to me last week. Upon removing the dust cover and opening the meticulously designed Mitchell & Ness box, I found one of the greatest gifts/perks that I have ever received. Mitchell & Ness produced 1,264 jerseys to reflect the number of games Jordan played as a pro. This number includes the regular season, All-Star, and playoffs. Each jersey is stitched with a number from 1-1264, to represent a specific game. An elegant plaque fastened inside the commemorative box is etched with the specific details of the date and game. For example, I received game number 879 of 1264. My plaque reads, “Your jersey represents game #879 in the career of Michael Jordan. Game #879 was held March 18, 1996 as the Chicago Bulls defeated the Philadelphia 76ers 98-94. Michael Jordan’s stat line that day included 38 points, 11 rebounds, and 4 assists.” I was hoping to get the game where MJ dropped 55 on the Knicks right after his first comeback… so I could burn it! Oh well…

Now I know what you’re thinking: “FAKE!” But no. These Air Jordan XI’s are in fact real samples. The Air Jordan XI (11) Low comes in a black/red (bred) colorway, which is owned by Ceola Clark, a friend of Jeffrey Jordan, MJ’s son. These jays were given to Ceola from Jeff and Michael as a gift. Yes, be jealous, because this sort of stuff actually happens. The Lows follow the bred design just like its retailed predecessor, with a black patent leather and mesh upper, red inner lining, white midsole, and red translucent outsole. If you absolutely need to get your hands on these babies, then go find Ceola at Western Illinois University, where you can challenge him to 1-on-1 for them. We all know about Michael Jordan and his short career with Minor League baseball team, the Birmingham Barons, as number 45. What we know even better is his player exclusive Air Jordan IX (9) Baseball cleats that he wore with “45″ stitched on the back heel of the black leather upper shoe. To commemorate Michael Jordan’s induction into the Hall of Fame, Gatorade sat down for 16 hours to design this insane “Gatorade” mirage of Michael Jordan dunking. Miami Heat guard Dwyane Wade made a sneaker switch and will be playing as the newest member of Jordan Brand beginning next season. He joins fellow NBA’ers Ray Allen, Carmelo Anthony, Rip Hamilton, Chris Paul, D.J. Augustin and several others on the Jumpman roster. DWade repped Converse last season, and it’s safe to say things didn’t end pretty. Dwyane effectively avoided rockin’ his final Cons signature shoe, the Wade IV (4), all last year!
