Air Jordan Melo 1.5 & M3 - Carmelo Anthony Player Exclusives (PE)

Not too long ago, we gave you A Look At Carmelo Anthony’s Collection, and we now have detailed pictures of some of the other Air Jordans made exclusively for Anthony. These player exclusives range from colorways inspired by Melo’s alma mater, Syracuse University, all the way to colorways taking inspiration from Anthony’s current NBA team, the Denver Nuggets. Some other notable colorways include a white/gold pair and a black/maize pair. There is no question that Carmelo Anthony has had his fair share of player exclusives made for him and expect even more from him in the future. Air Jordan Melo M5 & Olympic Nuggets - HoH Exclusives

House of Hoops by Footlocker is an extremely mismanaged micro chain of stores. Both store employees and upper management are resellers. I would never expect to find any heat at the House of Hoops. Instead, I would save my time and search eBay for the special makeups and colorways they have in Air Jordans and Nike shoes. Tomorrow, December 27, 2008, all three HoH locations will make available two exclusive colorways of the Air Jordan Melo M5. The first of these colorways was seen on Carmelo Anthony’s feet over the summer when USA won the gold medal in Olympic basketball in Beijing. This colorway features a white patent leather toebox, a navy midsole and the typical Melo M5 side pattern in a navy and white print. Also included on this colorway is the USA Basketball logo and the date of the opening ceremony, 8/8/08, on the tongue. The second colorway of the AJ Melo M5 yields the away colors of the Denver Nuggets. Featuring a black patent leather tongue, a university blue midsole, and a side pattern consisting of maize and university blue, this pair will definitely match with that Denver Nuggets’ jersey you have in your closet. Both colorways will drop tomorrow at all three HoH locations. Via: Footlocker.

On Court: Air Jordan XX3 PE vs. Air Jordan Melo M5 PE

This edition of “On Court” features a key matchup between Chris Paul and Carmelo Anthony. No, we’re not discussing which is the better athlete, but rather who looked better in regard to sneakers when the New Orleans Hornets faced off against the Denver Nuggets on Thanksgiving Day. Chris Paul stepped onto the courts with an Air Jordan XX3 Player Exclusive very similar to the Air Jordan XX3 inspired by the University of North Carolina which was released on November 28, 2008.  On the other side of the court, Carmelo Anthony was seen wearing a player exclusive colorway of the Air Jordan Melo M5, Carmelo’s newest signature sneaker. This colorway will most likely not be released to the public and will stay in Anthony’s personal sneaker vault. As for the game, the Hornets beat the Nuggets with a final score of 105 to 101, but Anthony outscored Paul 24 to 22.  More pictures of the two pairs can be seen after the jump.
