Carmelo Anthony has led his Denver Nuggets to 2-1 in the series against the New Orleans Hornets, and he’s doing it in style. He’s unleashed a new PE colorway of his Melo M5, and the sneakers are all black with a yellow trim. As you can see, JB likes to try out different colorways on the Melo M5 (Green Week / Jordan Brand Classic for example), and this colorway does the shoe great justice as well.

This edition of “On Court” features a key matchup between Chris Paul and Carmelo Anthony. No, we’re not discussing which is the better athlete, but rather who looked better in regard to sneakers when the New Orleans Hornets faced off against the Denver Nuggets on Thanksgiving Day. Chris Paul stepped onto the courts with an Air Jordan XX3 Player Exclusive very similar to the Air Jordan XX3 inspired by the University of North Carolina which was released on November 28, 2008.  On the other side of the court, Carmelo Anthony was seen wearing a player exclusive colorway of the Air Jordan Melo M5, Carmelo’s newest signature sneaker. This colorway will most likely not be released to the public and will stay in Anthony’s personal sneaker vault. As for the game, the Hornets beat the Nuggets with a final score of 105 to 101, but Anthony outscored Paul 24 to 22.  More pictures of the two pairs can be seen after the jump. For those who you who were watching the Denver Nuggets battle the Los Angeles Lakers, you may have caught a glimpse of Carmelo Anthony sporting his new Air Jordan Melo M5 in a Denver Nuggets colorway. This model is designed to match the team’s colors and are made up of a white base with blue panels and gold accents. The Air Jordan Melo M5 has been flying under the radar despite a few key styles. This Air Jordan Melo M5 has just surfaced on to internet appearing in white, metallic silver, and university blue. It is a very Jordan-esque colorway and doesn’t conform to the Nuggets colors of blue and gold.
