The Marc Jacobs brand isn’t particularly known for its sneaker line. However, it did try to build said line up, finishing off last year with a leopard print/red suede low-top design. And it begins this year in part by offering the high-top Wingtip sneaker pictured here in a soft grey suede upper with a hint of blue just above the midsole that looks like dripped paint. With an interesting colorway and wingtip accents, Marc Jacobs may very well be on its way to at least gaining more attention towards its sneaker line. Whether that attention translates into sales will take some time to find out.

Not particularly well-known for its sneaker designs, Marc Jacobs dropped a collection of Port Shoes this past Spring. The brand follows that effort up with an interesting sneaker design. Pictured here, this Marc Jacobs sneaker uses red suede along almost the entire upper, while leopard print fills in the toe cap and black leather is used along the sole. Whether it’s your cup of tea or not, this sure is a head-turner. But is this head-turner worth your cash?

Marc Jacobs isn’t necessarily known for its footwear, but it does keep somewhat busy in that area- having offered its two cents to the game by releasing its Port shoe. This time around, Marc Jacobs lends its talents to Native and has come up with the Jimmy boot pictured here. This Jimmy comes with a predominantly black leather upper with leather laces and branding on the tongue. This Jimmy boot actually releases today from participating Marc Jacobs locations.

So far this season, we’ve checked out some desinger name boat shoes including offerings from Louis Vuitton and Gucci. Today, we take a look at Marc Jacobs’ rendering of said quintessential Summer sneaker type. The Marc Jacbos Port Shoes, pictured here, comes in two color-blocked sections (rear and middle/front) with dark and light grey used along most of the upper. Moccasin details show by way of the toe cap shape and general stitching, while he outsole comes in tan leather. Find these now at participating Marc Jacobs carriers.

While a lot of sneaker attention is now being paid to NBA athletes who can often be seen showing off their new feet candy on the court, still there exist other alternatives to your sneaker needs. Marc Jacobs Spring/Summer 2010 Footwear line has emerged. The sneakers (high and low top) are very basic, neutral colors and not a lot of frills. The cool textures on the checkerboard print look sharp, and appear to be leather and suede; reminiscent of the Louis Vuitton Damier high tops. Now that Marc Jacobs designs for Louis Vuitton, he’s seemingly borrowing from himself! No word on the prices as of yet.
