Though Lacoste is not widely known for their signature sneakers, we have been seeing more and more hot models from the high end brand. For their Summer 2009 Stealth collection, Lacoste is set to release three new colorways of their boat shoe, the Cabestan Cup, one new colorway of the M85 Mid, and three new colorways of the Sakado. None of the sneakers feature colors that are too crazy, and a common theme among all the of Lacoste’s Summer ‘09 sneakers is a white midsole which completes the look nicely and gives the sneaker a clean appearance. Premier French casual brand Lacoste recently dropped the Rene, a stealth lowtop inspired by the brand’s founder, Rene. The canvas model is toned up in black/neon pink, black/neon blue, and black/neon yellow. The shoe features ventilation holes, a prominent toebox, and intricately placed stitching reinforcements that correspond with the accent color scheme. After hitting us with the Shoes-Up and MV edition of the popular Missouri 85, Lacoste has done it again and links up with Mita. The Japanese retailer and the sneaker brand feature the M85-Mid, a cross trainer version of the Missouri 85. The M85-Mid integrates the classy design of the Missouri 85, but incorporates even more eye-catching characteristics like a hexagonal pattern, croc print and splatter all while sporting a black, white and purple color scheme. Each element ties back into the trio of colors adding texture and appeal to an already solid concept. The collaboration will be limited to 150 pairs at Mita and top-level Lacoste retailers. Stepping their collab game up, Lacoste has been linked to Stash, a graffiti artist who is no stranger to partnering with the major companies. For their project, the Revan-Ardeur has been chosen as the base and is hit with a familiar design that mimics his collection done with Nike a few years back. The second style features a brown upper  with a red sole and grey accents. In addition, both sneakers are completely waterproof, an added bonus to an interesting collaboration. Early last month the Shoes-Up x Lacoste Missouri collaboration was reported and showed a project involving the French publication and popular sneaker brand. The Missouri sports traditional wool, black tonal detailing and a silky interior lining. These particular choices were inspired by the classic beret that is often associated with French fashion. Each sneaker will be sold in a hat box with an issue of Shoes-Up. 40 pairs will be sold at Colette in-store and online starting December 1st.

Lacoste will be launching the Missouri ‘85 MV with Miami-based shop Addict. The Missouri ‘85 MV is dressed in bold colors with a screen print and fade design on the toe and heel. In addition, multithread laces and neon lining also add to the vibrant and unique look. The inspiration behind this sneaker comes from advertisement that appeared in magazines last year. You can find the Lacoste Missouri ‘85 MV at Addict located at the Bel Harbor Shops in Florida. Release is scheduled for November 21st and will retail at $130.
