Nike Zoom Kobe IV (4) Chaos (Joker) Edition

Earlier this week, we covered the latest full-length commercial and the MPLS Nike Zoom Kobe IV (4). In celebration of the “Batmania” frenzy that has infiltrated the nation, Nike and Kobe Bryant crafted a shoe that was inspired by The Dark Knight’s moonstruck villain, the Joker. Toned up in a unique white/team grey/purple/Joker green color scheme, the Chaos ZKIV features multicolored laces and a blood spattered sockliner. The model features Nike Basketball’s Flywire containment system and bouncy Lunar Foam in the forefoot. The model’s outsole is comprised of a multidirectional herringbone outsole. Nike Zoom Kobe IV "Chaos"

As most of us have seen by now, the late Heath Ledger’s performance as the Joker in The Dark Night was absolutely amazing. We are now seeing evidence that Kobe Bryant also found Ledger’s role to be great and has decided to release a colorway of his newest sneaker, the Nike Zoom Kobe IV, in order to commemorate the performance. Though the name of the colorway does not contain a direct reference to the Joker, anyone that has seen The Dark Night can easily relate the word, “chaos” with the Joker. The Nike Zoom Kobe IV “Chaos” features a multicolored upper consisting of a purple base with white, red, and silver accents. This colorway, along with all other colorways of the ZKIV, will include flywire technology and will weigh in at a mere 11.6 ounces. These will be available at select Nike retailers on January 10, 2009. Via Fatboykickz.

On Court: Nike Zoom Kobe IV (4) - "Carpe Diem"

After debuting the Nike Zoom Kobe IV (4) “Venom” in his last game, Kobe Bryant is back at it again and is rocking a new colorway of the Nike ZKIV this time. This colorway seems to be extremely similar to the Carpe Diem colorway of the Nike Zoom Kobe IV which is set to drop on January 17th, 2009. On another note, Kobe Bryant has seen much personal success while rocking his new low-top sneaker which is exhibited by the 41 points Kobe dropped against the Orlando Magic last night. As for the Los Angeles Lakers as a team, they are 0-2 since Kobe has started wearing his newest signature sneaker on the courts. Will Kobe continue to rock the Nike Zoom Kobe IV? Will the L.A. Lakers continue to lose? Stay tuned for the next installment of “On Court” to find out. Pics via Yahoo Sports.

Nike Zoom Kobe 4 (IV) - 2009 NBA All-Star Game

This morning, Nike unveiled their newest and lightest basketball sneaker up to date, the Zoom Kobe IV. Weighing in at only 11.6 ounces, the Zoom Kobe 4 will be even lighter than the Nike Hyperdunk—a feat thought to be impossible when the Nike Hyperdunk was released months ago. Featuring a red base with white accents, this colorway of the Zoom Kobe 4 is meant to go along with the jerseys of the west coast NBA All-Stars playing in February of 2009. Small gold accents can also be seen on this sneaker in the form of Kobe’s signature on the heel and his patented logo on the tongue. Another key aspect of the Zoom Kobe 4 (IV) is the fact that it will come equipped with Nike’s flywire technology which gives players the support and flexibility needed to play at the best of their abilities. There is no word yet on a release date or if these will even be made available to the public, but remember to stay tuned for updates. Via Marqueesole.
