The above screen shot was captured on the Nike BB website earlier this morning. It reads: “Welcome to NikeBasketball.com. Nike is celebrating Kobe Bryant’s fourth NBA Championship with new t-shirts dedicated to his on-court exploits. Designs include the “Carpe Diem”, a white-based affair that nods to KB’s “Carpe Diem” mantra. The “Puppets 4 Rings” tee features Kobe’s exaggerated limb with his four rings on hand. Dime Magazine will have a bunch in the office by the end of the week and will be sharing with readers from their website.

Kobe Bryant took the court in Orlando this evening wearing this unique pair of “Away” Nike Zoom Kobe IV (4) lowtops. The shoe features graffiti-esque font styling around the ankle collar and on the toebox. The shoe’s combination black patent/premium leather upper is accented by shades of athletic gold and team purple. Down below, a translucent outsole peeks out. Stay tuned for updates in the coming weeks; there’s a chance that the Nike Zoom Kobe IV (4) “Game 4 Away” hits Nike’s House of Hoops later this week.

Remember the online spot that featured a gleeful Ronny Turiaf congratulating Kobe Bryant after the Mamba cleared an Aston Martin in the new Nike Hyperdunk? A sample Hyperdunk dedicated to the clever commercial recently emerged from the depths of sneaker obscurity. Toned in silver foil/mahogany hues, the shoe features the Aston hood ornament as a lacelock. Kobe in “pre-jump” posture is embossed on the tongue, and the progression of his leap for all of mankind is fastidiously tracked on the model’s leather insole. For now, you can expect the Nike Hyperdunk “Aston Martin” to stay locked away in the sample room.

The Nike Air Force 1 (One) Kobe “Black Mamba” is distinguished by a white/purple/yellow upper that draws from KB’s Los Angeles garb. The lowtop model’s perforated panels are offset by a purple swoosh and Bryant’s “Shinobi” logo on the heel panel. Outside of preliminary sample images, little is known about when, where, and in what numbers the AF1 Kobe “Black Mamba” will release in. In the process of selling ankle insurance and breaking out the Zoom Kobe IV (4), Nike has drawn up another sneaker for Kobe Bryant to wear the Dream Season. This is quite possibly the dream season for Bryant who are the favorites to win this year’s NBA Championship. The Dream Season features a white leather upper with gold trim and purple accents. Bryant’s finishing touches are also included on the Dream Season with the Lakers guard’s autograph on the heel as well as KB24. Expect the Dream Season to release in this colorway as a few others this Fall and Winter.

On June 11, 1996, Kobe Bryant was drafted 13th overall by the Charlotte Hornets, then shipped out West to the Los Angeles Lakers. (The rest is history.) Nike is celebrating KB’s short-lived pit stop in Charlotte with a unique white/teal/blue color scheme of the Nike Zoom Kobe IV (4). The model features the draft date “6-11-96″ is inscribed along the heel and inside the shoe on the insole. The Zoom Kobe 4 features Nike Basketball’s Lunar Foam cushioning interface up front, and Flywire containment strands cover the sleek model’s middle panel. (Interestingly enough, the purple ‘Wire matches up nicely with the Hornets’ pinstriped jerseys!) Look forward to seeing the Nike Zoom Kobe IV (4) at House of Hoops later this Summer.
