The Nike KD1 is obviously Kevin Durant’s signature shoe, but the surprising aspect of all this is that Kevin Durant himself rarely rocks his sneaker on the courts. Whatever the case may be, we are now getting a first look at an “Away” colorway of the KD1 composed of a creatively designed split upper. The inner side of the sneaker features a black patent leather upper accented by blue stitching and a blue Nike swoosh. The outside of the same pair yields a black suede base with a team orange swoosh, a KD logo, and multicolored stitching. This “Away” KD1 also includes a black midsole with zoom air and a photo blue outsole. These are now available at Shoe-Planet and should be hitting Nike retailers next month.

Since making the move to Oklohoma City, the teams jersey colors name have changed and so has Kevin Durant’s footwear. Durant’s signature Nike KD 1 has been seen in an assortment of styles including this new make-up modeled after the Oklohoma City colors of orange, teal blue and black. The sneakers consist most of a bright orange upper which is paired with teal blue laces and yellow accents. Other details include a speckled print on the outersole, swoosh and on the inner lining. More and more images of Oklahoma City Thunder guard/foward Kevin Durant’s developing KD1 have surfaced over the past few weeks. The KD1 conform to the team’s colors of black, orange and blue with an orange swoosh on the outer part of the sneaker and blue on the inner portion. Durant’s signature “KD” logo also appears on the KD1 as well as his number, 35 in blue. Technology wise, the KD1 are equipped with Zoom Air and a XDR compound outsole. A couple days ago, we featured a preview of the Nike KD1, Kevin Durant’s signature sneaker. Now we have actual pictures of two colorways highlighting teams that Durant played for before entering as a rookie in the NBA last year. The first of these colorways is inspired by an AAU team that KD played on before his college days. This colorway features a white leather base accented nicely by red and blue logos and stripes. The second colorway of the Nike KD1 yields a black upper upper with orange accents which obviously represents the University of Texas, the college Kevin Durant attended for a year before moving on to the NBA. Up till now Kevin Durant has been seen wearing the Player Exclusive edition of the Nike Blue Chip, but 2009 will mark the year of his next signature sneaker. The KD1 has been designed to feature his the team colors of the Oklahoma City Thunder, formerly known as the Seattle Supersonics. The KD1s are outfitted with a white upper and an orange swoosh and blue sole. However, the medial area of the sneaker sports a gradient design and a white swoosh.
