Last week rapper Bun B gave us an exclusive interview in which he revealed his Top Sneakers of 2008. A few days later and we present yet another look at a list of great releases from 2008 as given by sneaker aficionado and DJ, Clark Kent. For those unfamiliar with DJ Clark Kent, he is a hip hop DJ, record producer and music executive. This New York native has worked with some of the biggest names in the industry including Notorious B.I.G, 50 Cent, Jay-Z, Slick Rick, Rakim and many others. In addition to these achievements, Clark Kent has worked with Nike designing several sneakers in the past and continues to do so with the 2009 NBA All Star Game Nike Air Force 1. Clark Kent’s 12 Pairs for 12 months recalls his top 10 sneakers of last year with two bonus models. With rumors and pictures floating around the internet, Nike Sportswear has finally announced information regarding the collaboration with KAWS/Original Fake. Chosen for the project is the classic Air Max 90 and the new Air Max 90 Current designed by Jesse Leyva. The previously seen Nike Air Max 90 Kaws – Original Fake features a with upper along neon green accents and signature KAWS designs. The second model that is included is the Air Max 90 Current, a new model that features a Free sole. However, for this special collaboration ACG inspired materials are applied to the Air Max 90 Current. Release is scheduled for October 18th at the two locations below.

Certain characteristics are expressed with this Nike Air Max 90 to truly represent Kaws, for example the “XX” on the lace locks, tongue and stitching throughout.

The insoles of the Nike Air Max 90 Kaws feature “Kaws” written all over and finishes off with a White – Neon Green color-way. After a very exclusive release of the KAWS x Nike Air Force 1 apart of the 1World Project, the two are back at it again working with one of the most popular Air Max models, the Nike Air Max 90. The Air Max 90 is similar to the Air Force 1, however white is the dominating upper color, however light green accents appear in the form of KAWS signature “XX” design throughout the sneaker. Premium materials also make up the sneaker, this can be seen on the toe box. In addition, it has been rumored that the artists included in the 1World Air Force 1 series will also be chosen for a collection of Air Max 90′s, but nothing has been confirmed yet. Via kiDulty.

You may not see the Kaws x Nike 1World Air Force 1 anytime soon in stores, but you can get your hands on the sought after sneaker through an eBay auction. It has been said only friends and family were able to obtain the collaboration sneaker, but nothing is certain just yet.

Whatever the case maybe, the sneakers look phenomenal. A black based upper is complimented various areas of neon yellow including stitching, sole, laces, and tongue tab. Kaws’ signature “XX” design is seen throughout the sneaker as well as an in-sole design. Be sure to check out the auction for yourself and not to miss out on a rare occasion.
