Way back in October we showed you an updated image of the Air Jordan 1 ‘Banned’. Along with the new image came a good look at the packaging… a retro box modeled after the OG AJ1 box. When we saw this we thought it would be great to do this to all future retro releases, apparently we weren’t the only ones who thought it would be cool.

Jordan Brand has profited heavily off of decimals, as the Beaverton-based Nike subsidiary has combined Michael Jordan’s signature shoes to create updated performance packages. Earlier this month, the company released the 2.5 Mid, a Shelleyian combination of the Air Jordan II and Air Jordan III. Several Jumpman sponsored hoopers have worn the shoe on-court, including Chris Paul, Ray Allen, Gerald Wallace, and Michael Finley. The team white/varsity red/cement grey/black version of the Air Jordan 2.5 is scheduled to release on January 10, 2009, but pairs have arrived on eBay already.
