Chris Paul commemorates the relationship he had with his grandfather (who, unfortunately, fell victim to the murderous streets) with this version of the Jordan CP3.III. Called the “Chevron”, the shoe is white, powder blue, and deep red in color. My favorite aspect of the shoe is the ultra-kool arrow pattern that’s stitched into the 3.III’s middle. How has Paul’s injury affected your desire to buy the third installment of his signature shoe? He’s back on the court now, of course, but with him sitting out, were you not looking for his shoe on store shelves or online? Chris Paul’s latest signature sneaker, the Air Jordan CP3.III, is on the move with the announcement of this new ‘Mardi Gras’ colorway. Featuring a predominantly white upper, the model is accented with hits of the Hornets’ team colors of teal, yellow, and purple. Perhaps the most interesting part of the sneaker is its subtle laser etched mid-panel (you’re going to have to take a closer look after the jump to see it), which demonstrates how far Nike’s etching has advanced since the days of the Dub Zero. Completed by a speckled purple midsole and yellow contrast stitching, the colorway certainly presents a unique combination of features. Slated for a Christmas Eve release, the model will be available at select Nike retailers like Foot Locker.

On Monday, we brought you news of the first release of Chris Paul’s newest sneaker design from his signature series with Jordan Brand. While that New Orleans colorway is sure to be worn by Paul on the court soon enough, we would also now like to bring you more pictures of a white-black/red pair initially rumored to be dropping in Spring of next year. But this pair will actually also release on January 2, 2010 from select JB retailers such as Foot Locker and House of Hoops locations nationwide. Notice that on these shots of the final version, there are white speckles on the black part of the sole. So if you had to chose one pair of the CP3.III the day after New Years, which one of the two pairs mentioned here would it be?

At the end of June we brought you a look at two pairs of the most recent shoe design from the Jordan Chris Paul collection. While those two pairs are set to drop at some point next Spring, the pair pictured here is scheduled for a general release at Nike retailers, including Foot Locker and House of Hoops locations nationwide on January 2nd, 2010. New Orleans Hornets point God Chris Paul will rock the third installment from his signature line, the Jordan CP3.III during the 2009-’10 season. Initially, the high performance hoops shoe will hit retail in white/black/red and black/orion blue/white. The shoe features combination patent leather/leather or leather/nubuck uppers with an exposed horizontal stitch line that runs from the outrigger and wraps around the heel. Chris Paul’s Jordan CP3.III will release this Spring wherever shoes are sold for $118.
