Earlier today, we showcased a conceptual design of a Nike Air Max Trainer 90, but we now have pictures of an actual hybrid featuring the Nike Air Trainer 1. This time around, Nike has meshed the Air Max 1 with the Air Trainer 1 to create a clean low-top sneaker which hosts the best of both worlds. This pair is nicknamed “Chlorophyll” due to the green accents seen on the white, black, and grey base. To top it all off, this sneaker also comes standard with a flywire midpanel, an Air Trainer 1 strap, and a nylon toebox. Expect the Nike Air Max 1 Flywire x Air Trainer 1 Hybrid – Chlorophyll to release later this year, but a sample pair is now available on the ‘bay.

This pair hosts a simple white on white colorway accented by an icy clean sole which is a great look for the warmer weather ahead. The sneakers were also rumored to be produced in very limited quantities and given to friends and family of Fragment Design. Fast forward a few weeks later and the rare sneakers have surfaced online once again. The sneakers consist of an interesting mixture of a Tennis Classic base and an Air Force 1 sole. As with the most recent collaborations, the sneakers also sport the perforated swoosh to accompany a black and white color scheme that ties into the Sinchuan Panda theme. Don’t expect to see these in stores anytime soon, but you can pick up a sample pair now via the ‘Bay.

The latest release of Nike’s hybrid project is the Nike Terminator High Hybrid LE in sax/purple/white and black/grey/pink. The Nike Terminator infuses elements of Nike ACG products to include a free sole and Clima-Fit material. Aside from the earlier hybrids which were featured in earth-tone colorways, this Terminator stands out not only by its distinct model, but by its array of colors as well. The first pair essentially uses a white leather upper, white midsole, purple printed swoosh, sax yellow stitching, and turquoise panels throughout the shoe. The second uses a black and grey upper with a white midsole, turquoise stitching, and pink print swoosh. This shoe is perfect for Terminator fans who’d rather have them off the court, especially at a price of about $140.

Combining two sneakers to form one is no new design trick for the folks over at Jordan Brand, and today we have our first look at a new Air Jordan hybrid which meshes together the Air Jordan XVI (16) and the Air Jordan XVII (17). Though the elements of the Air Jordan 16 are much more prevalent in this sneaker, hints of the Air Jordan 17 can be found on the lace region which features two rows of laceholes. Components of the AJ16 can be seen via the patent leather toebox, midsole, tongue, and the overall design of the upper. This colorway of the Air Jordan 16.5 is very similar to the Original Black/Varsity Red color scheme of the Air Jordan 16 which released back in 2001. Another interesting aspect of this pair is the word “Jordan” written in braille on the heel. Jordan Brand’s newest hybrid, the Air Jordan 16.5, will be available for purchase in November 2009.

Though we are only embarking on the second month of 2009, we are already seeing previews of sneakers that are set to release in Fall of this year. It seems as though Nike has been doing their research as of late and has finally figured out what it is that the sneakerheads truly want. Ranging from the Total Orange colorway of the Nike Air Trainer SC all the way to the “Medicine Ball” Nike Air Trainer III, we will definitely be seeing our fair share of original Nike colorways in this upcoming year. To contrast with these OG colorways, Nike will also be releasing a new Nike Air Tech Challenge Hybrid colorway and several womens Safari Air Max 1s. Expect for all these sneakers to drop in Fall of 2009. Via NT.
