Here’s the latest addition to New Orleans Hornet Chris Paul’s signature shoe line with Air Jordan: the Air Jordan CP3 II in a white/grey colorway. The shoe features a white patent leather toe with a white leather side panel with a stitched design. The midsole is also white while the heel panel is grey with a stitched diamond design. The tongue tag showcases the CP3 symbol and the bottom of the tongue carries the Jordan symbol in yellow to contrast the white and grey. The back heel also features a special design to add some flavor to the basketball shoe, with the Jordan symbol in yellow at the side of the heel. To top it off, the sole is a translucent grey to finish this signature shoe.

A couple days ago, we showcased the Nike Zoom Soldier II (2) inspired by the Summit Lake Hornets, Lebron James’ youth basketball team. We are now getting a first look at a Zoom Lebron VI paying homage to the same children’s recreational basketball team. Featuring a white upper with a black patent leather band and toebox, this pair’s color comes in the form of the energy and purple accents seen throughout the sneaker. In 1992, Lebron James began his basketball career with the Summit Lake Hornets. Though the Hornets were only part of a children’s recreational basketball league, the team certainly had a huge influence on who Lebron is on and off the courts today. James has decided to pay homage to his former team by releasing this colorway of the Nike Zoom Soldier II. Featuring a predominately black upper with varsity purple and energy accents, this pair yields a simple, yet effective colorway. As Chris Paul emerges as one of the top point guards in the world, Jordan Brand will help build on his success by releasing the Air Jordan CP3 II in 2009. This sneaker seems to be inspired by the Air Jordan 23 (XXIII); most noticeably, the CP3 II borrows a stitching pattern on the side that is reminiscent of the Air Jordan 23. Built for one of the flashiest point guards in the NBA, this pair provides padded ankle support while keeping the cut low enough to allow for fluid motion on the basketball court. Paying tribute to Chris Paul’s New Orleans Hornets, the sneakers shown above also flaunts a New Orleans inspired graphic starting from right above the heel leading to the top the ankle support. The energy stitching and gold accents throughout this pair also correlate with the Hornets team colors. The CP3 II will be available for all of Chris Paul’s loyal fans on March 3, 2009 for $122.
