Vans has kicked off 2009 in a major way and shows no sign of slowing down as they present countless projects involving different names and can now add artist Usugrow to their collection. The Av Sk8-Low, Sk8-Hi Pro and Half Cab Pro are the three styles chosen for the project and are constructed with premium leathers including tumbled full grain and suede. In addition, matching shirt will also be releasing alongside the sneakers when they drop soon. Comments by Usugrow on the collaboration can be read below.

“Vans is a company that has remained constant for decades. When I thought about designing Vans, I didn’t want to create shoes as an art piece. Rather, I wanted to make something that you’d want to wear forever, something that you wouldn’t get bored of. Art, music, and anything that is really good, never becomes old. It remains, passing beyond any trend cycles. It is always my intention to create something like that.”

Vans continues to create new ways to reinvent the Half Cab which will be releasing in a new package consisting of three different models. The Half Cab Pro is made up of a combination of premium suede and leather along which contributes to the varsity jacket-like appearance.  Furthermore, the Half Cab will be available in red, black and blue with two toned laces.
