Asics and Gettry are back again for another collaboration on the Double Clutch. The last work between the two resulted in the MIL, now we have what is being called the “Airmail”. As you can tell by the name, the Asics x Gettry Double Clutch takes inspiration from the United States airmail. Using an off-white base, red and blue highlights the shoes. Gettry is getting animated with the help of its sidekick Asics, as the duo has released the GETTRY x Asics Procourt AR Sidekick Pack. No doubt they got their influence from the infamous Batman and Robin duo, as the pack consists of the iconic colors of Batman and his faithful sidekick Robin. The Robin Procourt rocks a wonder red/knight black colorway, using a wonder red leather upper with black patent leather, and yellow midsole to go with the laces and ankle strap. The Batman Procourt sports a dark black/knight black colorway, using a black leather upper with black patent leather, yellow midsole, and yellow inner lining to offset the black ankle strap. Japanese retailer GETTRY sought out unlikely inspiration for their latest collaborative effort with Asics. Asics’ Procourt AR was once a favorite on the courts of Japan, but like most retros, has seamlessly crossed over into the lifestyle market. The “Hamburger” was fostered by the globalization of fast food, as hues like “Burger Brown” and “Cheese Yellow” mark the strapped hightop’s upper. Speaking of upper, the shoe’s most vertical region is a tasteful blend of patent and perforated leather. If you’re still hungry, the model’s sockliner is covered in french fries.
