But, Mr. Fujiwara has gone back to his Nike roots to the collaboration that pretty much started it all. The fragment design x Nike Sportswear Tennis Classic once again exemplifies Hiroshi’s genius using a simple yet elegant white/gold colorway. The Tennis Classic uses a white leather upper and perforated swoosh, complete with metallic gold accents on the tongue tag and back heel panel, where the fragment logo is placed. A simple pair of sneakers these are by Fujiwara that will be available in limited numbers exclusively in Asia come January 2010.

After a small teaser of Hiroshi Fujiwara’s latest Nike collaboration got us fiending for another taste, we’ve received a detailed look at the latest fragment design project. The fragment design x Nike Sportswear Air Footscape Motion, which combines the Nike Air Footscape with Nike’s latest performance technology, comes in two colorways that represent Mr. Fujiwara’s fashion savvy. The Footscape Motion is light as a feather, with a full flywire upper in blue and purple, respectively, along with a white mesh tongue and inner lining to go along with the sole. The fragment design logo is placed at the tongue tag and back heel tab to do the Japanese designer justice. You can expect these simple shoes to release sometime next month.

Back in February we got a glimpse at the Fragment Design x Nike Air Force 1/Tennis Classic Hybrid from the Sinchuan Panda pack. The sneakers were also rumored to be produced in very limited quantities and given to friends and family of Fragment Design. Fast forward a few weeks later and the rare sneakers have surfaced online once again. The sneakers consist of an interesting mixture of a Tennis Classic base and an Air Force 1 sole. As with the most recent collaborations, the sneakers also sport the perforated swoosh to accompany a black and white color scheme that ties into the Sinchuan Panda theme. Don’t expect to see these in stores anytime soon, but you can pick up a sample pair now via the ‘Bay.

Coming off the release of the Tennis Classic Collection, Fragment Design will continue their partnership with Nike through 2009 with release of the Footscape and Tennis Classic. Using the Tennis Classic once again, Fragment Design implements a simple look with only using a white upper along with a black heel tab and perforated swoosh. The second of their collaborations with Nike is the Footscape. This Footscape features black, white and blue on the heel and tab with the Fragment logo. Look for both to drop sometime in 2009.
