After previewing the Nike Ashiko Total Oranges, Nike has set another Nike Ashiko boot to release this holiday season. This Ashiko isn’t as glamorous as the last one, but sets a different tone in style. The hiking boot uses a flint and grey upper that utilizes Flywire technology in red accents. It has a grey midsole and black outsole to match the black printed swoosh. Of course, ACG is implemented into the shoe as shown on the tongue and midsole. If you liked the last Nike Ashiko, then be sure to look out for this one later this year.

Apart from retro-ing Nike classics from the 80’s and 90’s, Nike has not only brought back the Nike Air Max 1, but added its latest shoe technology to create the Nike Air Maxim 1 ND. This time around, the Air Maxim 1 comes in two colorways: red/white and blue/white. The Maxim’s resemble the Nike Air Max 1 in every way, from fit to form, except for the side panel, which features Nike’s Flywire technology. The Flywire side panel features a printed swoosh as opposed to a typical suede leather swoosh in the respective colors. Both shoes have white midsoles and black outsoles to finish off these Air Maxes. Available this July.

On June 11, 1996, Kobe Bryant was drafted 13th overall by the Charlotte Hornets, then shipped out West to the Los Angeles Lakers. (The rest is history.) Nike is celebrating KB’s short-lived pit stop in Charlotte with a unique white/teal/blue color scheme of the Nike Zoom Kobe IV (4). The model features the draft date “6-11-96″ is inscribed along the heel and inside the shoe on the insole. The Zoom Kobe 4 features Nike Basketball’s Lunar Foam cushioning interface up front, and Flywire containment strands cover the sleek model’s middle panel. (Interestingly enough, the purple ‘Wire matches up nicely with the Hornets’ pinstriped jerseys!) Look forward to seeing the Nike Zoom Kobe IV (4) at House of Hoops later this Summer.

The Nike Hypermax is the latest Flywire foray from the Nike Basketball camp. The Hypermax is augmented in the cushioning department by a full-length Air Max sole unit. Combine that with a sturdy ankle strap, reinforced ankle collar, and Flywire cointainment technology, and the Hypermax seems perfectly suited for even the most tenacious lane violators.
