As it neared Halloween day, we brought you a look at the retro card that will be accompanying the “Flu Game” pair of Air Jordan XIIs that officially release on Black Friday, November 27. Now, we bring you word of an opportunity to get your hand on this retro card by purchasing the pair of Flu Game XIIs early. Trusted retailer BNYC has a good size run of this black/red Air Jordan XII available for purchase now, more than two weeks early, at a going rate of $150 a pair- retail. The biggest difference between this Flu Game XII and the OG pair is that, on this shoe, the black part is made of suede. Regardless of the change in material, few will be able to pass up on these; so here’s the opportunity to acquire them early and with little hassle.

Despite the minor hiccup in Jordan Brand’s Air Jordan XII Retro release schedule, many of us are still excited for the popular AJ model to hit retailers. In efforts to revive the retro card, JB will be including a brand new card with the AJXII ‘Flu Game’ model.  The card gives Jordan’s 38 point game against the Utah Jazz in the 1997 NBA Finals a visual identity comprised of symbols, the sick face representing his Airness playing through the symptoms of the flu. Set to release on the 27th of November (we hope), the sneaker features the same hieroglyphic message on its tongue.

At the end of last month, we provided an exclusive look at the Air Jordan 12 (XII) Flu Game, and we now have new images to share. As we mentioned in the original post, this pair has been nicknamed the “Flu Game Air Jordan 12″ because Michael Jordan had the flu in game 5 of the ’97 NBA Finals and still managed to score 38 points against the Utah Jazz. Featuring a black nubuck upper with varsity red accents seen on the tongue, sole, and heel, this pair is very similar to the OG Black/Red Air Jordan 12. Other key aspects of this Air Jordan 12 include the year (97), points scored (38), and a sick face on the tongue and the rear of the sneaker. The Air Jordan 12 (XII) Flu Game is expected to release in November 2009.
