A late addition to Puma‘s First Round ‘Soda Pack‘, this new ‘Coca-Cola’ colorway may very well be the strongest sneaker of the bunch. The classic red and white upper against a cola-colored sole makes for some rather appealing eye candy– a visual identity that couldn’t find its way into the other Orange ‘Sunkist’ and Green ’7 UP’ models. Unlucky for all of our large-footed male readers, the shoe has only been released in women’s sizes, but if your feet fit the bill, you can grab a pair from DrJays for $80.

The second series of the Puma Repeat collection was rolled out just a few weeks ago yielded the special make-ups of the First Round including the model seen here. This pair like most of the First Rounds in the Repeat 2 line consists of a combination of suede and patent leather. In this case it is new navy suede and azalea pink on the the form strip, laces, sole, tongue and on other areas of the First Round. Puma once again delivers another intriguing packages with a surprising background. This time around Puma draws inspiration from Japanese monster movies from the 1950’s through the 1970’s to create the “Japanese Monster Pack” for 2009.  Puma chooses some of their classics to make-up the new collection and includes the Clyde, First Round, Stepper, and Puma Mid. Puma’s First Round was originally released over 20 years ago and is still going strong with the release of this womens model. The First Round Scroll 80 is composed of a leather upper with a patent leather logo stripe. Other highlights include a vibrant colored design around the collar featured in their Decades street artist collaborative scroll campaign. With the rising interest in the skateboard industry, many companies are venturing into their own skate lines, including Puma. These three Puma First Round Skate are Puma’s answer to Nike’s SB line. Each model features cushioning around the ankle support area as well as three subtle color-ways, blue/white, black/red, and green/brown. All three models are now available via Mita.
