New Balance has breathed life to its 498 model ever since its release back in 2000. The New Balance 498 Collection comes in nine colorways set to release for the Fall 2009 line. The first colorway, set in silver/black, was launched last month to start things off. Other colorways set for later this year including green/silver, khaki/grey, purple/silver, brown/tan and grey/burgundy. Each shoe features synthetic leather uppers and mesh materials. Aside from asthetics, the 498 is comprised of Abzorb cushioning for ultra comfort. Releases will begin in August and will retail for $80 at NB retailers such as Finishline.

Earlier this year, we previewed some of the upcoming colorways of the Nike Air Max 1, and we now have a detailed look at two styles which both utilize quite a bit of safari print. The first variation hosts a white synthetic mesh upper accented by a purple swoosh, grey suede mid-panels, a black out-sole, purple safari print, and purple inner lining. The second sneaker from this Safari Pack yields a similar color scheme while the purple accents are replaced by yellow accents. New Gucci high top leather sneakers have dropped for the fall 2009 season. The two pairs (Nero/Black, Verde/White) are a throwback to the house’s vintage designs. They don’t have the frills of Gucci Native High-Top but it’s way cooler. The leather sneaker comes in black and white versions with the classic interlocking GG logo at the top of the tongue and the signature Gucci Green/Red/Green web. It seems as though Nike comes up with fresher and cleaner colorways of the Nike Dunk as every season passes, and this upcoming Fall 2009 season will yield no exception. With the use of various materials such as canvas, premium leather, and patent leather, Nike will definitely be spicing things up in the Fall. For the ladies, we have a look at three high-top styles that all utilize a dot pattern on the upper which is accented by either a white or grey sole. For the men, Nike will be releasing a patent leather pack which will consist of two white patent leather based sneakers with either white or green accents on the mid-sole and tongue tag. Another Nike Dunk Low set to release later this year is a low-top pair which comes in a simple black/white colorway. Expect to see all of these Nike Dunks at retailers in Fall 2009.

Though Jordan Brand is most known for their uniquely impressive basketball sneakers, they will be taking a step into the casual realm this Fall 2009 with their newest Lifestyle model—the Air Jordan Campus Chukka. The Campus Chukka will debut in three colorways: black, light chocolate, and sail. All three feature thick midsoles while this black pair hosts a black suede upper accented by a white midsole. The limited edition black Air Jordan Campus Chukka will be available for purchase on June 1, 2009 at select sneaker boutiques for a retail price of $110, while the other two colorways are set to hit stores nationwide beginning August 1.

The latest hybrid sneaker from Nike’s Fall 2009 collection is the Nike Air Max 90 Current Huarache which combines the shape of the Air Max 90 with Air Huarache technology. This pair features a black mesh and leather upper with white accents seen on the inner lining, laces, and heel. Overall, this pair yields a simple colorway which definitely showcases the best of both worlds. With the addition of Air Huarache technology, the comfort level on this sneaker will be quite high, while the AM90 aesthetics aren’t aren’t too shabby either. Today, we have our first look at some Nike Dunk Highs and Lows that are set to release later this year. The first pair from this preview hosts a simple black upper with red and white accents while the second style yields a white upper with a black speckled sole and yellow accents. The last Dunk High features a black suede and nubuck upper with purple, silver, and white accents. The final Dunk from this preview comes in the low-top form and yields a white upper accented by a black/white polka dot pattern and lime laces. You can expect to see all four variations of the Nike Dunk to be available for purchase in the Fall of 2009.
