Although Dwight Howard, as well as the rest of the NBA, may be sitting out this season, that doesn’t stop adidas from release the next installment in D-12′s line up of footwear.

Dwight Howard visited Moscow yesterday and took in some sightseeing at Red Square, visited the adidas NBA store in Okhontny Road to promote the adiZero Crazy Light basketball shoe and met with fans at an NBA 5 United event at Luzhniki stadium with Andrei Kirilenko.

Dwight Howard heads to adidas EUROCAMP in Treviso, Italy today to meet the with the next top international NBA draft prospects then heads to Athens to meet fans and out the basketball scene on Tuesday and Wednesday.

As you may know Dwight Howard began a six-city European tour today at the adidas World Headquarters in Germany.

Dwight helped open the new state of the art “Laces” building that will provide space for 1,700 employees. The new company building will be the central hub of the headquarters, and also features a biomechanical lab and sports research lab.

After the opening, Dwight met employees and a few lucky ones played with Dwight in various sports including tennis, soccer, golf and – of course – basketball.

Dwight will head to Moscow tomorrow to visit Red Square and meet with Russian basketball fans then heads to adidas EUROCAMP on Sunday to coach and counsel the next top international NBA draft prospects.

The public is invited to interact with Dwight and Derrick. Both athletes will launch the second version of their adidas signature shoes: Dwight Howard Superbeast and adiZero Rose 1.5.

The appearances offer fans photo and autographs opportunities. Autographs and photos are on first come, first served basis, so fans are encouraged to arrive early.

First-time NBA All-Star starter Derrick Rose’s adiZero Rose 1.5 is lighter and more supportive than its predecessor because of a new formulation of SPRINTSKIN. Five-time NBA All-Star Dwight Howard will debut the Dwight Howard Superbeast, which features an all-new support system built for his unique style of play.

UPPER: adidas Basketball has developed an all-­new version of basketball specific SPRINTSKIN featured in the Super Beast. The micro injected skin is directionally engineered to provide optimum reinforcement during hard lateral movements. It is seamlessly applied to a mesh base for superior breathability, and is made of a rubber based material that adds increased durability for continuous wear.

The Super Beast continues with Dwight specific oversized branding. The three stripes are broken into separate pin lines inspired from his jersey, and the fade is drawn from famous movie scenes where victims are unaware of eminent attack.

LINING: Spacer mesh textile creates both additional padding and increased air circulation.

SOCKLINER: PU insole for durable comfort.

MIDSOLE: The new double stacked Z shaped TORSION SYSTEM features two deep grooves that run along the arch that allows the foot to easily rotate or twist inward, but slow the rate that the ankle can roll outward. This simple solution limits injuries and increases the body’s energy efficiency. An all-­new nano cushioning element compresses when activated to provide superior cushioning comfort at the lowest most stable heights to date as well as adding zone specific traction.

Retail price is $100, and will release this February in sizes 6.5-15, 16-20.

In November we reported on the smooth “Superman” colorway of the adidas TS Beast. Now that it’s a new year and decade, we’re happy to report on this “home” white/blue colorway of Dwight Howard’s latest signature basketball design- the adidas Superbeast. While the upper comes in a white base with gradient blue and black accents, the shoe is finished off with an icy transluscent sole that we know had worked wonders with such famous models as the Air Jordan XI. Expect these to drop from participating retailers this coming February, but you can check out pictures of this release after the jump in the meanwhile.
