A couple months ago, we saw a Dunk SB inspired by mosquitoes and now we are getting a first look at a Dunk SB inspired by ants. Either someone over at Nike has an obsession with insects or they just feel like honoring the small creatures that are part of our daily lives. What ever the case may be, this Nike Dunk Low Premium SB features a black premium leather upper accented by a turquoise swoosh with red stitching around it. In order to finish the Nike SB look, this pair includes thick white laces and a white midsole which is contrasted by the black outsole. A couple interesting aspects of this sneaker are the tongue tag where Nike SB is written differently than anything we have seen before and the insole where you can see lime and red ants crawling around. Ever since its inception in 2002, Nike SB has been creating concepts and producing sneakers that honor people, places, and events. Now, the line is dedicating a model to the ubiquitous “boob tube.” That’s right, Nike will be releasing a Nike SB Dunk Mid Premium in 2009 that will be inspired by what some consider to be the best invention ever, the television. Featuring an understated dark brown/gray/light green colorway.  The shoe’s insole is distinguished by a colorful pixel print that is frequently used to represent how the TV has evolved over time from its dull primordial days to the high-definition present. The model is available now at Jordan8420 and will be officially released to the public in early 2009.

With Nike SB’s Mosquito Dunk Low just hitting store shelves, we get a look at the Bug Off Sample Dunk SB, a possible prototype to the newly released model. Modeled after the Bug Off canister, this sneaker combines bright green tones with yellow and red accents. With the Nike SB July ‘08 collection already wrapped up and finished hitting store shelves, a new preview of what Nike has in-store for us next month has just been spotted on Active’s online site. The line-up consists of a Dunk Mid, Dunk Low, Blazer, Blazer Low, and P-Rod II. Highlights include the highly anticipated black/aqua fuel Dunk Mid, black/bright cactus Blazer and a few other styles. Expect to see the August ‘08 collection inside your local Active Ride Shop in the coming weeks.
