Kobe Bryant and the Nike Zoom Kobe 4 (IV) were extremely successful this year, and Nike Basketball is hoping that Kobe’s upcoming signature sneaker, the Dream Season, is also met with similar success. We have seen a couple previews of the Nike Dream Season thus far, and we now have our first look at black/white-purple style. As denoted by the colorway, this pair yields a black upper accented by a white swoosh, purple laces, white logo on the tongue, purple Kobe signature on the heel, and a white mid-sole. In the process of selling ankle insurance and breaking out the Zoom Kobe IV (4), Nike has drawn up another sneaker for Kobe Bryant to wear the Dream Season. This is quite possibly the dream season for Bryant who are the favorites to win this year’s NBA Championship. The Dream Season features a white leather upper with gold trim and purple accents. Bryant’s finishing touches are also included on the Dream Season with the Lakers guard’s autograph on the heel as well as KB24. Expect the Dream Season to release in this colorway as a few others this Fall and Winter.

With all the news surrounding Nike’s new Zoom Kobe IV (4), it comes as a surprise to see one more sneaker designed for Kobe Bryant. Nike will release the Dream Season in the Fall of 2009. The Dream Season is reminiscent of the Hyperdunk/Kobe IV fusion Bryant was wearing prior to debuting the Kobe IV. The shape of the Dream Season appears to be a higher cut Kobe IV, however Nike left off Flyewire and Lunar Foam and put in place a Phylon midsole and an air unit in the heel. The new sneaker for number 24 will feature in the traditional white, purple and gold as well as a white, black and red model.
