We all know about the DQM x Nike Dunk High collection from back in 2008. Well, if you haven’t, you should by now thanks to Complex Magazine’s Top 100 sneakers from the 2000’s. But what you didn’t know was that there is another colorway for the shoe that was made available for friends and family only. That’s right, the DQM x Nike Dunk High Hyperstrike is in existence, in 24 pairs of black on black sneakers. The shoe features a black perforated nubuck upper and black midsole and outsole. Too bad these will never see the light from the DQM store, so if you ever come across this kind of quality meat, be sure to save it for a special occasion.

Dave’s Quality Meats produces only the finest in premium goods, and have just released its latest collaboration with Nike: the DQM x Nike Air Max 90 Current Huarache. This hybrid is part of Nike’s rivalry theme, as New York based DQM represents the East, which is tatted on the tongue tag and spotted insole. The Nike Air Max 90 Current Huarache uses a Nike FREE outsole, Air Max unit, Huarache heel panel with flywire, and a neoprene tongue. The upper consists of brown suede and a pink swoosh to blend in with the inner lining. The colorway takes influence from the iconic bacon colorway that DQM is known for. Vans shows us its 3 Feet High Pack, which consists of three colorways of their Half Cab model. Each of the three pairs are a collabo with some of the best retailers out there: Huf, DQM, and Kicks Hawaii. The HUF Half Cab features a red snakeskin upper, while having laces that say “EVEN SNAKES ARE AFRAID OF SNAKES.” When it comes to the DQM version, there’s a cloth like material being used on the toebox, side paneling, and heel area. Perforated suede and mesh have always been a good combination, as we see on the Kicks/HI collabo. There’s a little something for everyone here, so be on the lookout for these in June.

The Vans DQM, HUF, Kicks-Hi collaborative effort is ready to drop its second installment this summer. The California skate company collaborated with the boutiques to produce unique limited versions of the vulcanized Half Cab. DQM’s pair features black suede and a powder blue/black checkerboard pattern, while HUF’s pair is decorated in red faux-croc print. KICKS-HI’s pair finished out the threesome with a more subdued black/lime green accents combination of suede and perforated leather. Earlier in the year, we showcased the adidas Consortium 3Way Project – Group 1 which consisted of adidas collaborating with Patta, Sneakersnstuff, LimitEditions and Alife Rivington Club. Adidas has now teamed up with Dave’s Quality Meat, Undefeated, HUF, and Goodfoot for group 2 of their 3Way Project. This time around, the palette of colors includes cream, black, blue, grey, white, and brown. Most of the sneakers from this project feature tonal uppers accented by white midsoles except for the adidas Forum Mid which hosts a brown upper with lime green, white, black, and cream accents. The adidas Consortium 3Way Project Group 2 is expected to drop in the near future.

Earlier in the year, Nike and New York’s own Dave’s Quality Meat (DQM) teamed up to release a trio of Blazers, but they are back at it again with the sneaker of choice being the Nike Dunk High for the project. The Dunk High’s consist of a solid colored upper upper that is adorned in perforated suede which matches the mid-sole and out-sole.
