Air Jordan 1 Flight Mid - Detroit Pistons

We last saw the Air Jordan 1 Flight Mid in a New York Knicks colorway earlier today. Well, it doesn’t stop there. The Air Jordan 1 Flight Mid gets the Detroit Pistons treatment, coming in a white/french blue-varsity red colorway to match the home uniform for the team. The 1 Flight uses a white leather upper with a white patent leather toe, offset by a navy nubuck toebox to match the ankle area and midsole. Red laces contrast the bright upper, and the tongue features a white/red makeup with a navy Jordan symbol. These jays are available now online for $110-$120 at RMKstore.

Air Jordan I (1) Retro Phat Premier 60+ - Detroit Pistons

In 1987, Michael Jordan dropped 61 points to ward off the Detroit Pistons, 125-120. That illlustrious performance from way back in the day is the subject of this Air Jordan I (1) Retro Phat Premier. Toned in Pistons blue/red, the I features a premium tumbled leather upper with canvas accents. A terrycloth fabric Swoosh stitched ‘cross the midfoot finishes things off. The Air Jordan I (1) Retro Phat Premier 60+ “Detroit Pistons” will hit House of Hoops and select Nike accounts this December.

Richard Hamilton's Air Jordan 6 Rings Player Exclusive White/Varsity Red

Richard “Rip” Hamilton is a cornerstone of Jordan Brand’s TEAM Jordan Squad, and is one of the lucky few who recieves exclusive make-ups of the latest Jumpman releases. (An envious position, wouldn’t you say?) In 2008, the Detroit Pistons veteran recieved several unique versions of the Air Jordan 6 Rings, the brand’s Shelleyian attempt at fusing the shoes Michael Jordan wore when he won NBA championships into a super design. This particular pair is toned up in patent white/varsity red and features Hamilton’s nickname, “Rip City”, etched onto the model’s support strap. This size 14 Air Jordan 6 Rings Player Exclusive is available now on eBay.

Grainy Goodness? Richard Hamilton’s Air Jordan XX3 (23) Mid

Amid a deluge of contrived Fusion releases, it appears as if Jordan Brand might have maintained some semblance of sole/soul. (Ask Lil’ Bow Wow for an answer–he’s an “O.G.”) The brand’s latest triumvirate of XX3 releases has been met with wide acclaim nationwide, and the black/red “Premier” update set to drop in thirteen days looks favorable. The Jumpman has continued blessing their “Team” players with an assortment of exclusive merchandise, too. Detroit Pistons forward Richard “Rip” Hamilton recently sported this red/white/blue version of the ecologically friendly, yet luxurious XX3 Mid on-court. The model is accentuated by Hamilton’s nickname, “Rip City” stitched in royal blue along the ankle collar. Questions remain, however. Did NikeTalk member ES300 take a quick flick of the shoe on his phone? (Which might explain the picture’s grainy appearence…) Does this pair (or one shoe) even belong to him? Will this cute girl from one of my classes call me? Via ES300 of NT.

Billups in his Pistons-toned adidas TS Creator Mid.

In a trade that seemingly came out of left field, veteran guard Allen Iverson of the Denver Nuggets was shipped to the Detroit Pistons for clutch shooting guard Chauncey Billups, reliable forward Antonio McDyess, and rookie Cheikh Samb. I wondered whether adidas and Reebok would be ready to suit up their two signature studs in footwear to match their new uniforms–each company had only days to manufacture new product for their players. Saturday night provided us with an answer, (Pun not intended!) with Billups rocking out in a Pistons-themed blue/red/white iteration of his adidas TS Creator Mid and Iverson switching between the ‘07 and Answer XII (7). Both athletes have been rewarded significantly by their sponsor companies, each recieving their own product for the 2008 season. (CB recieves only his own colorway, mind you. Basketball is a Brotherhood!) But the question remains–who will buy these, these, or these? Images via Yahoo Sports.
