El Dia de los Muertos is a month away, so it’s about time we got an better look at the third model from this year’s Day of the Dead Pack. The Nike Dunk Low DOTD stays away from the dark tone of the Nike Dunk Hi DOTD, but uses the same elements with its purple skeletal allover print on the white leather upper. It also has a green leather swoosh to offset the white, purple and orange found on the contrast stitching. The insole features an iconic DOTD-inspired print to really empower the theme of El Dia. Nike Dunk High Premium - Day of the Dead Quickstrike

With El Dia De Los Muertos around the corner on November 2nd, Nike is releasing another Day of the Dead commemorative shoe. The Nike Dunk High Premium is one of a three pack consisting of the Dunk Hi, Nike Air Max 90 and Nike Dunk Low. The Dunk Hi features a dark tone, which is executed by a black leather upper, black midsole, and purple outsole. The upper also features black panels with iconic Mexican characters in purple. These panels are contrasted by orange stitching, as well as a green swoosh and inner lining. The insole also pays homage to El Dia with its skeletal graphic design. As a quickstrike, these are limited in quantities, but we’ll keep you updated with a release date and more info on the DOTD pack.

As we saw a small glimpse of the Nike Air Max 90 Day of the Dead edition already, we’ve come upon some detailed looks of the shoe. The Nike Air max 90 DOTD sports a black leather base to set the dark tone of Halloween. Orange has been placed in the mix of the shoe and its pattern on the mudguard, along with hints of green and purple. Black mesh on the toebox and the black leather are contrasted by the purple patent leather swoosh, inner lining, and purple outsole. This colorway definitely depicts the Day of the Dead theme, and makes a great addition to your Halloween hypebeast costume, especially with the matching glow in the dark shirt. Not many sneakerheads can or will ever forget about the Nike SB “Day of the Dead” Dunks, whether it be because of the immaculate patent leather and icy sole combination or the hype surrounding its release in only Mexico and Canada. This year, Nike is revving up to drop three more sneakers paying tribute to the Mexican holiday celebration that takes place in November of every year. The Nike Dunk Low comes in a light purple and green colorway with a pattern of skeletons throughout the entire shoe. The Nike Dunk High sports a similar pattern and green check but on a predominantly black base. And the Nike Air Max 90 is dressed in almost an identical makeup to the Dunk High. You can expect these to drop on or around October 24th. Coupled with the Halloween season and Day of the Dead celebration, one, two, or all three of these will surely be greatly coveted. But keep in mind that these Halloween time releases are usually very limited.

Although the Day of The Dead Nike SB Dunk Low Premiums are not typically associated with Halloween, they were released around the time of the October holiday. These sneakers were designed to commemorate the holiday that remembers loved ones who passed away. Incorporated are a mixture of element inspired by the holiday including traditional skull and skeleton graphics spread out through the upper and on the inner and outer sole. The Day of the Dead Dunks were limited to 1000 pairs exclusively found in Canada and Mexico two years ago making them very hard to find at release and even harder now.
