His ‘South Beach’ Air Jordan V’s made their debut here on Sneaker Files and today we bring you the revamped Nike SB Dunk High ‘Red Devil’ now dubbed the ‘Magma’. Tanner Paulini gave these ‘Red Devil’s’ the elephant treatment just as he did on his Chrome Ball Low SB’s.

We’ve seen custom sneakers quite a few times this year.

The guys over at MelonVille however, have taken the sneaker customization process to a whole other level. The detail that has gone into their work is absolutely breathtaking. It’s one thing to paint a sneaker and make it look like something new; it’s another thing to paint art onto art.

Take a look at these Air Jordan VI customs that celebrate MJ’s first championship in Chicago. With design elements taken from the Air Jordan III, the sneaker that kept MJ’s feet laced in Nike’s, these are a perfect ode to one of the greatest players (if not the greatest) of all time.

Evolved-Footwear now gives you the chance to purchase a pair of White on White Nike Dunk High featuring crinkled patent uppers and translucent outsoles with the ability to light it up, literally.

Customs are a growing trend in the sneaker realm.

The Nike Dunk High is one model that seems to get the custom treatment most often due to the endless colorways and classic silhouette. This particular custom is a sequel to the 2010 Nike Dunk Serpent, now dubbed the Serpant II. Custom artist Sekure D has taken this pair to a whole other level with its abstract graffiti and carnage print patterns. Add to that a tech fade mid panel and speckled outsole and you have yourself a great wearable piece of art.

By now most of us have seen the modified Retro models which returned the sneakers to their original form by removing the Jumpman and installing the beloved Nike Air.

In case you were wondering just how to accomplish this fantastic customization, the creator of the Nike Air replacement has created a tutorial for all to see. It is a long process, especially if you want to complete the project properly, but patience is a virtue when attempting any custom or restoration project.
